I bought a used 6-24x50 PST off of accurateshooters...and have really enjoyed it, for the most part. I was really annoyed that the parallax was so far off (I was dialed to ~250-300yd for 100yds!) but figured it is what it is. The clarity and color was superb compared to everything I've ever had...but i did have some focusing issues at any distance over 200yds.

So fast forward to last week....I ordered up a 0MOA EGW HD rail, as I wanted to get rid of my 20MOA rail and lower down the ocular at the same time. When I pulled the scope off the rifle I notices that right in front of where my Seekins were mounted on the tube...there was a slight dent. I knew the original owner had used some REALLY cheap rings..REALLY cheap.. (TMS rings...look them up on amazon..) and apparently he thought that the cap and base should be touching....so tehy got torqued...A LOT. I'm not sure how I never noticed...but, either way, it was there..and worse than I thought.

I get annoyed..and e-mailed Vortex to see if it could be repaired, expecting to pay. Within 10 minutes I had a reply and a warranty repair form to fill out...and was told it was no big deal and they'd fix it, for FREE! So, I was stoked, to say the least.

Flash forward to today...and I ahd a nice brown box waiting on me when I got home. I tore into it...and pulled out the box and thought it looked to be in nicer shape...So when I opened it up...the scope appeared to be in nicer shape too... I flip it over, and yep...new SN! No more 000167.. Not only did I get a BRAND NEW SCOPE...but it was the whole ordeal...cleaning cloth, hat pin, sunshade, etc..!

I gotta say...for the price of the scope...i expect good customer service...but, i NEVER would have expected THIS good. Scope was gone and back in under 2 weeks...and to just flat out replace it, at no cost to me....well, that's just friggin sweet!

Agree...100%

they impress as really smart folk that care and listen...i've had contact with them not on a repair, they have a culture of being helpful, a lot of companies would do well to follow their example

Come on he is only averaging 54 posts an hour....

Re: Agree...100%

I'm sorry to say I have to test out their warranty service. I've got a Viper HS 5-15x44mm all boxed up and ready to be dropped of tomorrow morning. The glass was pretty crappy on my particular scope.... Their outstanding CS is one of the reasons I buy from Vortex in the first place, though, so I guess it should pay off.

Re: Agree...100%

Vortex is awesome. Their customer service is superb.
The PST Viper 6-24x50 FFP I have is superb.
340 yards was awesome! I cant wait to take it out farther.
Yeah, Vortex has a customer for life here as well.

Yes same here! I really like them.

Re: Vortex is a damn good company!

I used the Vortex warranty earlier this year. Took delivery of a new PST and discovered that the objective bell wasn't quite concentric with the scope body. Scope seemed to function ok, but it definitely wasn't right. Contacted Vortex, sent them some pics. The paid for shipping and had a new scope in my hands within a couple weeks. Their warranty policy is great all around, it protects new buyers that might be stretching their budget and it also helps preserve price in the used market.

Re: Vortex is a damn good company!

I have had similar experience with a Razor - had problems, and they took it back, checked it out, and had it repaired. They also said they were working on improvements to it to make the dot brighter. Great company - they do remind me of DIllon...

Re: Vortex is a damn good company!

I've used the warranty once and am about to again (two different units.) That I have to use the warranty should not be taken as a damnation of their product. This latest issue is due to a cat chewing off the rubber switch cover on a strikefire - not something that the Vortex engineers would have seen coming....

Re: Vortex is a damn good company!

I purchased a second hand 6-24 PST as well, and I thought the previous owner didn't have the zero stop shims so I called them and they sent them to me free and in 3 days. Excellent CS. I will definitely buy more of their products.
