Vudoo closed the doors…

I’m telling you. If the OK crew of shooters in the PRS arena are involved in this move any sort of fashion it will kick right back up without a hitch.

Think Impact, Foundation, CRB barrels. Not to mention all of the builders and company connections they have.

If Vudoo was in any sort of contact with any of them and looked to move in they should have no issues getting things going again.

With that being said it don’t know why they wouldn’t have been more public about all of this. Like legit crazy to just ghost town. Just got builds from them a few months ago and it was business as usual.

But can they fix tractors?

I wish I had kept this rifle now. My damn gun ADD pisses me off sometimes....

they're moving to Oklahoma and the one advantage that they have there for workforce is most of those employees would be farm-raised individuals. if you're not raised on a farm this won't make sense if you are you'll understand that you make things happen, you see the problem you find a solution and you take care of it there, ain't no towing the tractor to town to get it fixed at the local mechanic shop, you deal with it there on the spot with what you have.

I was raised on a farm and I wouldn't want the majority of that workforce near any sort of precision instrument. The mindset of "always finding a solution" isn't really as deeply rooted there as we would hope. If its not an obvious issue that can be fixed with a fat MIG bead or a hammer, you just ruled out 98%+ of them.

They need to go find the shooters and engineers that are always chasing improvements regardless of their upbringing.

Maybe it was strategic to see who would spill what tea.

This is one industry that blows my mind. People will bend over backwards and defend a company till they are blue in the face and willing to give a company an interest free loan for a year without any issues. Yet will turn on them in a heartbeat and withdraw their support if they feel wronged for whatever reason. What happened to being a company fan boy and “it’s worth the wait” as many will say.

Yes I know what is going on based on all my readings here and elsewhere. I’m just bringing up what’s on my mind. And yes I don’t agree with how VGW or whatever it is now and how they are handling this so calm down. Yes I know people are at the time being left in limbo. I’m just discussing on what I see.

Does that come with free shipping, a 90 day guarantee, and for only $29.95, a second one free if I order right now on a credit card ?
🤗
Buy two at $3000/ each and he’ll throw in three free plus a complete Voodoo rifle set up. Get it now, while they last! This is only good for the next 90 minutes or until sold out!

We won’t repeat this offer! 🥸

Trust is at the heart of a "fan boy" relationship.

HS Precision
Troy Industries
Larue

I can list many more that lost the trust of the community for whatever reason and the community voted with their wallets.

The reason companies are not more public about this stuff is almost always because of scamming or ridiculously obvious failure at very basic business practices. I do not understand why so many potential and past clients line up to get fucked over, often for the second time. Businesses fail constantly, often from self inflicted wounds. I take my $$$ somewhere else.

I think if they would have handled this very differently, the many people here would still be loyal to them.

Look at how many people are willing to back some of the small shops with months/year long waits. I know I've had money on the line with several manufacturers/resellers here and will continue to support them

We have been burnt before, so there is a reason for people to be nervous about losing a lot of money.

As far as 8N fords. If our meandering busy body federal government ever actually did anything that really protected the populace, it would be to have all 8N Fords, called back and smelted down. In any type of hill country, Those Tractors are Killers. (And if ours had made a quarter turn more, My funeral would have been held in 1977.)
I got the 8n tee shirt and 145 stitches.... (1969)
My son once bought an old 8N. I am not sure if he was old enough to realize it was a death trap. I was never so glad to see a piece of his equipment go as that old thing! I had an uncle in Arkansas that had one lay across his chest for several hours. He survived but I always thought that was the real reason he was kinda loony. :sneaky:

Can’t see my surviving. When it all stopped, I was staring straight up at the rear wheel (naturally the tire was filled with water) The lug nuts would have landed squarely on my chest.

These things a fellow does not forget.

Our John Deere was a marvel. I loved hanging my little cooler on the ROLL BAR’s crossbar and enjoying working with that machine all day long, not a worry in the world.

Here’s my 8n done up to protect me.

At least I didn’t start it. But 8N’s are among the most devious contraptions on the face of the planet, right up there with fully semi-automatic AR-15’s that can fire 400 rounds a minute, or 15 rounds a second.

(Don’t bother with the math, it’s wrong, but this is a direct quote I addressed in another forum). Actually, 8N’s are really famous for turn-overs.

There’s gotta be more to this. They didn’t just pack up in the middle of the night without a good reason. I’ll never trust them again. Same with Zermatt. I sold my RimX after I shot a match with it yesterday. Lost by 1 impact.

My current Vudoo is the standard for every Rimfire I touch. Kenny at DPG did a few things that made a difference. VGW is over as far s in concerned.

I think whatever Mike Bush is working on, is what I can’t wait to see. If PE money tanked VGW, they reaped what they sowed.

You sold your RimX because you lost by one impact?!?

No. I knew it was for sale when the whole bolt gouging fiasco went down, and I will concede it was fixed, but they took deposits and never mentioned it for many months. I don’t trust them.

It was always a back up for my Vudoo always, had hope it my take over but lost faith in the company itself from lack of transparency.

I had also hoped that the RimX would have outshot my Vudoo since the decision was made to only use exclusive dealers came about. That was just stupid.

I guess the way I look at it is that they made it right and have/are replacing bolt bodies. Ray has always responded within 24 hours to my emails and to me that is top notch to be getting emails directly from the owner.

I’m not denying that they fixed the problem. I’m not saying that they don’t make a nice action. I am saying that whole thing was poorly handled from the beginning.

At this point, I'm excited to see what MB comes out with.

I'm also looking forward to DPG and L3I coming to market with their rimfires.

As for VGW, I won't go back. I have my 360 but I won't get another. And as much as I like my other Zermatt actions, I don't think a RimX is in my future either.

Thanks, LD, very much appreciated. The response below is written in response to many such comments that have been made to me privately and not necessarily a direct response to your public stance above.

I wasn't going to say anything else about this, as I felt enough has been said and we've learned more about tractors than I thought possible :ROFLMAO:, but after some prior remarks made over the weekend, I've received considerable outreach that has indicated that many, justifiably, are at a loss to understand the current dynamic.

While I won't speak about VGW the company, as I've made my position clear, many know that I'm supporting the rifles, which I refer to as V22s, for one reason. To not abandon this community. But part of the head scratching amongst many is due to a struggle to understand the glibness by which many in the community are speaking of the "closing of the doors."

Whether the remarks from the CEO at Three Sigma are being shared or the absence of a vendor that's in receipt of some amount of money without providing some level of comfort to those that paid it (and there are many other examples), there's a part of our community that is normalizing the bad behavior from companies that serve this community.

So why has this behavior become more common? Because there's enough in this community that allow it, and that forces those engaged in the behavior to think, "well, we got away with-it last time." It doesn't matter to me what side anyone is on, but if one has allowed the behavior, there's nothing to gripe about the next time it happens. "Normal" is defined by how the "standard" is treated. Demand a higher standard or take what they give you.
