The latter was deployed by us from 1842 to 1876 with almost no ROE and absolutely obliterated some of the most vicious nomadic chieftains who wanted to start their own Mongol Empire stretching from our Great Plains into the Southwest and central Mexico. Those who were left after the cannon and rifle smoke cleared BEGGED to smoke the peace pipe with the United States government and the state governments of Texas and Arizona.
There are more than a few of us ready for Round 2. As long as those left wing irritations in our own system who harbor and enable these aggressors are neutered and kept out of positions of legislature, the results would be no different than the first round.
