Not sure if anyone's had experience with these Weaver stud to picatinny rail adaptors before, I searched and saw people reference them but could find any reports how they worked or if they were liked. I picked one up so I could use an Atlas bipod on the .22 as well without having to take the rifle apart and disturb the bedding / zero. Above the pic rail in the first picture is a rubber footer, it both protects the rifle from the metal of the rail as well as gives a good surface that resists sliding or moving around once tightened down.

I was skeptical at first but for $15 figured I’d give it a try. It's very sturdy once installed and was very easy to attach. I tired to move the mount / bipod once attached and it's on there firmly. The adaptor would remove in seconds if I wanted to go back to the stud mount.

So far it seems like a good alternative to replacing the existing stud.

Re: Weaver stud to picatinny rail adaptor

Nice concept for target rifles. For carry/sporting/competition rifles I see a few issues. 1. You no longer have a front sling swivel. I guess you could add one to the pic rail aftermarket though. 2. It sticks out pretty far compared to other direct mounts. Other than those few things it looks like a good alternative to a direct stock mount. Nice find and thanks for the review. May have to try one out on my 10/22 also.

OpticsPlanet, they have 2 models. One with an attachment for a sling and one without. They were sold out of the model that had the sling attachment on the front or back (depending which way you faced it) of the pic rail. Everywhere I checked had the sling attachment version on backorder.
