Western Auto Supply Co. Revelation Questions

I was at the local gun show and seen a couple listed as Mossberg 12ga. "Tactical." Well the only thing really tactical about it was the barrel was shortened to 18 1/2'' some nice hogue stocks were placed on and the whole thing was parkerized, not very well from what I can tell. Well Ive been in the market for a semi tactical slug gun home defense and maybe just a little fun. I picked it up for 299, and took my dollar as well as a few others and picked up some law enforcement low recoil buck shot for it. Closer inspection when I got it home revealed it was a Western Auto Supply Co Revelation. Im not too upset, it serves its needs as for now, Im just wondering if the parts for the Mossberg are interchangeable with it and if so what model.

Well you coulda got a near new 870 for that price but Western Auto Supply used to just buy guns and stamp them from what I've read.

I hvae a Marlin Mod 60 my dad and mom used to shoot in the park in St Louis back before 1965... LOL

But to answer your question, this 22 is for all intents and purposes a Marlin Model 60.

So I would assume yours is truly a Mossberg...(??)

Considering how old that thing is, IMMACULATE shape.

I read that they quit importing or selling back in the 1970's..

I had a Revelation it is indeed a Mossberg 500 in every shape form and fashion. You paid WAYY to much in my opinion but the guy who was selling it was looking for a buyer like you...uninformed. It is a quality shotgun and though you got took in price you did not get took in quality.

Yeah I figured I could always get another barrel for skeet or bird and because its not over 5 round tube it would be legal. Or a slug gun for deer and what not.
