Re: Whar Do you Think of My Ghillie?
imho - if you or other guys want legitimate evaluations of their ghillies on a site like sniper's hide, show pictures of the whole thing (front, legs, arms, exta features, etc...) loading up the suit with jute is just a fraction of the whole ghillie process. nothing personal, but anyone can tie jute on netting. seeing how well the base is put together will determine how good it is.
if you are intending on putting your suit through a good amount of abuse, all heavy contact points should be properly reinforced with canvas or heavy nylon. Then there are stirrups, venting, adjustment straps, attachment points, etc..... My point being, if you want a useful evaluation, you got to let us see what's under the hood. know what i'm sayin?
big joe is right about too much jute, but give it a good mud bath and a lot of that extra fiber will pull off in a jiffy. breaking in your ghillie will make a world of difference when it comes to effective appearance.
anyway, looks like you're off to a solid start, but if you show the whole thing, i think you will get a wider range of opinions and get more constructive input.
