Money has been a little tight since the covid stuff kicked off for my family especially with the addition of a little one and a few extra hospital bills. I have managed to add some reloading components to the stash before covid got real bad, as well as a g19, a new ar upper, and have a cmmg banshee 9mm on the way to go with my omega 9k that has been waiting in the safe for several months at this point. Have an ultra 7 .264 in jail now too. After this stuff comes in im slowing down on my gun spending just to see what happens over the next several years and start saving more.

We have been blessed to have close friends that work in pediatrician offices and have a steady supply of samples coming in that we use. It has been great!

Have to say I'm really enjoying this thread and thread about firearm prices. About a month ago I started a thread in the bear pit asking what people were doing gun/ammo/accessory wise in anticipation of possible Biden victory. I was honestly curious about what people were thinking. Thread went south pretty quickly with numerous posters assuring me I was a complete moron for thinking there was any chance Biden would be our next President. (Guess what, whether or not you believe he actually won, turns out in about 6 weeks time he's going to be sworn into office). Others accused me of being some kind of ATF agent ... I promise you I'm not - although I suppose I'd deny it if I were.
In any event, I'm still curious and definitely have my own views. Part of it depends on whether Dems. take the Senate. If they do I think there's a serious chance we're going to get major gun legislation and a new "improved" AWB that insures that mfg. can't just produce AR's with fixed stocks and muzzle brakes instead of flash hiders. However, I'm hoping that even liberals realize that confiscation/buy-backs would be such a shit show that they won't try it. And I have hope that even if Dems control Senate there will be a couple of Democrat Senators from conservative states (I'm looking at you Joe Manchin) that won't vote for such a ban. Plus, I think Republicans will win at least one race in GA and hang on to the Senate. So I don't think we're looking at an outright ban or confiscation.
However, Biden will definitely try to do something by Executive Order. For example, if they can ban bump-stocks I suspect they can (and probably will) try to ban pistol braces. Maybe also prohibit future approval of SBR's (or increase the tax so it's prohibitively expensive). Same thing with suppressors. What would happen if a tax stamp cost $2,000? How about taxing ammo the way they tax cigarettes? Or prohibiting ammo/gun sales on line? I lived in MA for 35 years. Trust me, there are a hundred different ways they can screw with us.

Yes, I'm buying standard capacity (vs reduced capacity) mags. I fear the executive orders. Remember, Obama made ivory handled Colts illegal to sell, made standard banking services unavailable to gun shops, and made rebarreling Mausers illegal without an FFL just with executive orders. That's not even including partisan use of government agencies, e.g. spying on White House reporter James Rosen, targeting the Tea Party with the IRS, and using the entire intelligence service apparatus to target Trump.

The last pistol I bought was in 2000. We have 2 Ruger MK 2's but nothing centerfire. I think the purchases need to be tied to the most immediate threat. Biden really can't do much with domestic production items without supporting legislation. What he can do it what Bush Sr did and that's ban the importation of weapons via executive order. I'd love to get another PPC like a B&T APC. If you have had your eye on something that's imported and you can find it, now would be the time to buy it.
Walldog, I'm in the same boat. Looking at another pistol before innauguration. Have Glocks and really like them. Also CZ's. Got to shoot Sig P320 a few months back at a school, and I shot it great, even though it felt like a brick in my hand. But considering all the same brands (including add'l Glock or CZ).
