What is your purpose? I run a T-Rex Arms Orion with various pouches for carbine and pistol in training and competition. Good setup that does not require an inner belt with female attachment. Super easy on/off and stays put just wearing gym shorts. Highly recommended. I’m sure with a different configuration it’d work for PRS as well.
Cannot repel from it though if that concerns you.
Get away from the battle belt thing. I went over it in length as to why in a thread a while back.
If you want a belt for carbine/pistol/combat shooting you need to look at it as something that will supplement your primary gear and/or wont be on you all the time depending on what you are doing/what your needs are.
With that said, the best I've found is the AWS system as I always wear the underbelt regardless and can then 'attach' the upper portion that has my sidearm, pistol reload and the option for 2xM4 mags on it. Can be scaled up or down from that as well.

You like the AWS? I stopped in their shop back when I was in that little sexy town of Fayetteville ::violently projectile vomits in mouth and tries to hold it in with one hand:: and it was just sort of eh. The Molle panel thing is kinda cool though, and I can see it saving time for scaling the load out... If you found yourself needing to do that constantly. The 2-piece belt system is where it is at for a dedicated solid setup. I was skeptical of them when I first heard of this new coolness, but that Ronin TF belt is the tits and made me a believer.

I'm like 90% sure the Ronin stuff is made by AWS, or at least some of it. It's simple, well made, no frills or bullshit hanging off it (unless you want it to. see: dont) and it just works.
I went through the battlebelt phase back in the mid 2000s and realized quickly why it wasn't going to work for me in that I needed to be able to scale, yet not constantly re-do everything as well as not have this giant, ever rotating girdle on for like 1-2 things.
Primarily it was dependant on it I was going to run convoys all day or be dismounted as well as what primary I'd have dependant on either. So either I fucked around and moved shit on/off the belt every time (which never worked for different mag pouch sizes), have multiple pre-setup belts or then got into adding/removing shit from my PC (retarded). This also caused issues with how a hydro panel or attached ruck worked because anything on the rear of the belt would constantly have the ruck ride on top of it (very retarded).
The inner belt I wear all the time to hold my pants up; I dont use the AWS inner, I use the hypalone (sp?) one from Snakeater Tactical as its much more flexible, much thinner, has a keeper and is basically weightless. Do NOT use the AWS inner - it sucks.
The outher is the perfect balance of stiff and flexible. I've tried almost every belt and this one was the happy medium. The closest I found other than the AWS was the First Spear Assaulters Belt, but they are made in the reverse hook/loop orientation as to what has become 'normal'.
My outer belt is 90% because I want/need a sidearm for whatever I'm doing. The other 10% is that I can quickly add 1-2 Mk21 mags, 1-2M110 mags or have another alternative for something mission specific as I have a pretty heavy rule against changing my PC layout. If I don't need any of this to scale, the extra platform mags for a non primary, or a sidearm, I don't wear the belt.
Then go take a look at Beltman Belts. Cant get any more simplistic than a tough yet classy leather dress belt. The belt says that you're formal but the pistol says that you're here to shoot someone in the face.simplicity is key!
I run a Ronin Tactics belt. A little spendy but very solid. I prefer a two belt system, it's a very stiff outer belt, and it's not as wide as some others, which I like. You can get it with or without a D-ring, but I'd add that the D ring is designed for helicopter operations, not for rappelling or SPIES stuff.I need a new belt setup. What are you all running and why?
I bought an imitation leather one in Vegas last weekend because I forgot mine at home. I'll send it to you if you're a size large.
I’m wearing my two piece Warrior poet society belt right now. One with molle for my battle belt and a slick one for my IPSC belt. They are made by blue force gear. I rate it highly.
