My Son who just left for Qatar, and my baby brother who has brain cancer...could really use a few hugs from both of them.

What Do you miss on Christmas?

-The bonus I use to get from work...not much else anymore, seems like my days all run together and birthdays/holidays are less and less important. Kind of like the movie Groundhog's Day....I relive the same shit every single day

I miss the ability to look at Christmas like I did when I was a child, with innocense and niavity (? spelling lol). My dad would read from the Bible about the birth of Jesus and we would give thanks for what we had, then open our presents. Then going and seeing my grand parents. My mother died when I was young and all my other family has either passed away and I live in a different area. After the time I spent in the military and as a public servant now all I see at Christmas are the increase in thefts, domestics and sucicides.
So be thankfull for what you have,and remember those who serve and those who have fallen, to give us what we still have.

I miss the look of my parents faces when I opened my presents.... But, now its replaced with the look on my kids faces!
