It is sexy! Looks like a StraightJacket. all of mine, other than .22lr, are 1.25" tubes.
I have not, but after seeing a claim they went 14/15 on a 1/2 IPSC target at 2050 yards, I'll probably avoid the company.not to hijack but has anyone used a straightjacket barrel.
saw a few articles but nothing past that
thought i read that some high speed groups were trying them out, but that is prob just internet crap

?Teludyne Tech Ryan Hey and this isn’t uncommon!
?Ryan Hey Teludyne Tech bluntly put; its VERY uncommon.

Yeah, honestly they may make great barrels, I have no idea. But the marketing above just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe if I see some good reviews I'd give them a chance, but not with the above and relatively little info on them currently.thanks
i thought they made rifle barrels not lasers
I have. I own 6.not to hijack but has anyone used a straightjacket barrel.

Did you buy your current choice of rifle because it was claimed to be a half moa gun? Or because the picture were cool?I have not, but after seeing a claim they went 14/15 on a 1/2 IPSC target at 2050 yards, I'll probably avoid the company.

I'd like to think I did my best to research the product using input/reviews from multiple sources I trust. I didn't go out an get something because Brand X claimed something as ridiculous as the post I just linked. Like I said, I have no input on their barrels, as I've never used them. They might be great for all I know, there just isn't a plethora of credible reviews out there that makes me think I should go with them above any number of well respected barrel brands. The linked post isn't just aggressive marketing claims using extremely favorable conditions like MOA guarantees, its a flat out lie.Did you buy your current choice of rifle because it was claimed to be a half moa gun? Or because the picture were cool?
Haha, no. The claim above is 100% bullshit and not possible. Which is why they ended up removing the post entirely.Do your homework on this one then, before spreading "bogus" claims, as you say they have. I've seen them in action, so I can give substantial feedback on the topic. It's clear you did NO research before linking a conversation you found somewhere. The shot group referred to is 100% possible, with proper fundamentals intact. This is not to say that I have shot over 1k, because I have not. But the tests and facts do not lie.
LOL bro, I suggest you try to do the homework/math yourself. Using some comments from a post regarding how bullshit this claim is:Look bro, do the fuckin homework. If you dont like the system, dont use it. But dont be one of those guys that wanders forums looking for gear to trash because you cant/wont/dont believe it. You keep using, er, replacing, your barrels; and I'll keep shooting mine. I'm sure the same ELR guys you refer to, are also interested in a .5 moa group "not being possible". Hope you get a good deal on your next 1500 round barrel.
MV sigma | Hit % on a 6 MOA target |
---|---|
10 m/s (32 ft/s) | 27% |
5 m/s (16 ft/s) | 48% |
2 m/s (6.6 ft/s) | 79% |
1 m/s (3.2 ft/s) | 92% |
This thread sucked till it went off the rails, you've done us a great service.i guess i hijacked the thread..sorry L2
Your skepticism is understandable. I'd be willing to bet it is possible. Diversity is what makes this crowd unique. Again, I'm not going to defend it anymore. I did the homework, I own the barrels, I know the guys that created them, and their level of skill as marksmen. As to who allegedly fired that group, I couldn't say, but I bet I could find out. I will say that your opinion of "bullshit", means absolutely nothing to me.
KO2M is limited to .375 min. They don't qualify shooting factory 308 from an AR I'm sure that's why...I feel you are emotionally invested with this. If they have someone who us such a good shot, and barrels that provide perfect consistency, than why do they not compete in these ELR competitions where they would easily beat out the competition
