What happened to the male species in the USA. I see more feminine, metro sexual men than ever. Hipsters, is that the new way to say I am a flaming quiche pie. TV programing, news, is saturated with soft little spineless princesses. Is this where we are headed??
I grew up on a dairy farm. We never had much tolerance for feminine men and to be honest I was never subject to many. We would not disrespect or insult them, we just chose not to be around them.
Now it seems that everywhere I go, every night on TV it is the norm.

What happened to us????? It seems like there are now more Elton Johns than John Wayne's. I just shake my head in wonder and disappointment.

Must be a east/west coast thing. Out here the men are so eager to prove their manliness they drink until they are retarded and beat each other until incarcerated. Not many fairy poo poo's on the prairie.

Everyone is equal, and if not the government will do their best to enact a law to make it seem like they are. Okay, everyone is not actually equal. It used to be that the "Golden Rule" was something that would make society better, now the inverse has occurred...everyone to the lowest common denominator with a nice frosting of self-indulgence on top. "Technology" makes us soft, "equality" makes us soft, socialist policies make us soft. The "us" there is the country, not the individual.

The rugged individual is now seen as a threat to American society instead of the backbone that created this amazing country. Don't worry, the fewer self-made men there are in the US, the closer our country moves to insignificance, which is what the current administration has been ushering in for the last 5+ years.

Several years ago, when this stupid shit started and before I met my current G/F (who's my age), I had a young woman comment on the fact that I had hair on my chest. I was like "yeah, I'm a fucking guy". She'd never been with a guy who didn't shave/wax his chest. I explained that for my next trick I'd be displaying testicles also, since she probably hadn't had to contend with those before either.

I think it boils down to they dont frighten or intimidate anyone, especially women, and liberals, who run the media.

Frankly, I dont care how you act, if I dont like it I just leave, change the channel, or whatever. Thats whats so precious about freedom...what's left of it anyway. It doesnt threaten my manhood, I know who I am and like it.

If you follow and or insist on trying to shove it down my throat, thats a different story.

Awful lot of "real men" here on the Hide demonstrate butthurt at the most stupid of shit all the time...proving that geography or hobbies don't make one immune.

I dont think its a matter of testosterone or bravado, more about actually spending quality time with your son. Yeah sure, Joe is a bad ass mother fucker, opens pbr's with his teeth and fucks hot chicks every night, (after a long day of bailing hay), Only thing his girly son is left at home, with his mom, playing cooking mama on the Wii.

Or Bill just made executive vp in 18 months, hard work dedication and a shitload of travel got him there, mama is "taking care" of all the other home stuff and getting her nails done. Meanwhile little Ricky is stuck at home with the housekeeper, well at least he can now speak spanish.

My father holds a men's group at his church to encourage men to be more manly. They have car shows and go 4 wheeling and discuss how to act as men and support their families ect. I think there needs to be more of this. I'll admit I have a few friends that like to shoot guns in their "skinny" and "stylish" jeans.

That's not for me, I have a beard and wear cargo shorts and I don't care what people think about my style.

I grew up in Michigan and love to smoke marijuana, though I no longer smoke it due to my career. I have worked in Colorado springs, leadville and rifle/parachute. Am I a jagoff? I believe the constitution is the law of the land and that a man should be free to live as he sees fit.
 
OP, don't drink the cool aid. Just cause the news reports it or TV shows show it does not make it real. Its just another way to make you think you need to change or believe the world has changed... and push you in the direction they wish you to travel.

You know if you just got a Glock 19, you wouldn't have to dress around the gun and could come close to doubling your firepower for the same number of mags. You could honestly probably get away with skinny jeans, or at least clothes that fit, and blend right in with masses. :)

I don't care about how any one dresses its all about there attitude. These days as parents it can be tough to discipline kids you can go to jail for snatching your kid up by the ear these days. If you spank your kid and he mentions it at school the swat team will be kicking your door down later that night. So it makes it "harder" to teach kids consequences.

I guess what i am saying is I feel sorry for the KIDS! because its not there fault.. Its there parents generation that is to blame.

consider yourself lucky. in some places on my face i have as many as 13 hairs out of one folicle, many times they morph into one large hair shaft and they make some nasty ingrowns.
 
I have seen advertisements on TV by law firms suing drug makers (as we all have), one is particularly interesting, a drug given to tens of thousands of young men that were "diagnosed" as having Attention Deficit problems, these drugs seem to have made a lot of young men grow breasts etc. Horrifying! It is very strange how many young men in the US are suddenly suffering from Attention Deficit disorders! In one generation, we seem to have millions of kids (mostly male) that need to be on medication because they are somewhat "rambunctious" ! Many well known, and well respected experts in the field have suggested this is an abomination, and that 99% of those getting these "zombie like" causing drugs shouldn't be taking them. The very young men that would have normally been out in woods hunting/fishing/ shooting/drinking daddy's beer/ smoking a cigarette-then getting sick/ etc. are now zombie like, computer game playing girlie men. Is there are connection? I think so.

You have no idea how horrible those drugs are. Took me years to get over the effects of them. They used us as fucking Guinea pigs for mind control drugs. Then cunts like FS1 call us paranoid for thinking the government is our enemy.

. I agree. I think it takes two. What I'm talki g about is a lot of single moms raising kids. I'm not saying one is more important than the other either. Both have their value. I think the structure of the family is very important.

I am in total agreement with you on all of it. I have a daughter so I am extra aware of what I see young girls doing that didnt have a strong father. Seen it in boys, just as bad.
I thank my parents, both of them, for the way I was raised.
