Gunsmithing What Is A Hanger Bar?

I wanted to know what a hanger bar is?

I've seen this referenced a few times, but with only Encore rifles. Is this unique only to Encore rifles? Or does it reply to more traditional ones, like Rem 700s as well?

I'm assuming it's some sort of stabilizer for the front forearm, correct?

If I am correct, is it another term for pillar bedding?.. or something entirely different?

it gives basicaly the same effect as pillar beddind ,on tge Encores , it makes for a smaller contact in the forend and free floats around it , less contact helps the weapon be less picky about where the forend is held or rested when shooting.

i just bed my forend from screw hole to screw hole and float the rest
