What is the 5.56 M193 price today? Where will it be in one month?

The TP panic is finally over in my AO.

Stopped by a gun store yesterday and it was packed in the early afternoon.

Lots of women and couples buying everything.

I think the gestapo style curfews and social distancing fines have everyone all worked up.

Looks to me like stock is recovering quite a bit. M193 or 55FMJ brass cased anywhere from 35 - 40 cents / round is what I am seeing...

Hard to say what it will look like in 6 months. But I wouldnt expect it to get much if any cheaper over the next 6 months. Then depending on the election...welp.

Might not be a bad time to "bite the bullet" and buy TBH.

And ya ya all you reloaders lol...yes, we are jelly.

If you have a decent supply of ammo stashed, it will be enough.

Think about it, if folks come to do you harm and you have to expend ammo? If you are diligent and accurate you get to add their weapons and ammo to your supply. If they don't come, you won't need more because you won't have used yours. :)

Depends on what you want. I see Tula 223 62 gr FMJ at $255/100. If you want the good match grade Federal or HOrnady more like $1.00 or more per round. Everything in between. Personally I dont shoot Tula or Wolf in my rifles.

Well, stocks are increasing almost everywhere I look.

So that's a good sign at least. Stock should potentially help drive down costs somewhat (maybe).

I bought an extra 1000 55gr. fmj bullets in the middle of March, just to have an extra 1000 on hand. They were $84 shipped. But I just looked, and they are now $115 shipped.
I bought an 8# jug of H4350 this morning form Powder Valley for $236 shipped.
Other than that, I'm GTG.
I haven't even looked at 22lr.

So almost 10 million background checks run this last quarter....

We might have a year or two drought

And who will Biden Pick as VP?

When trump won, sales died... no urgency

If Biden Picks a Hillary type as VP, everything will be sold out until after the election...

If trump loses- all gone

Dems are also trying for a 50% additional tax on ammo

So in Cal-
a $19 background check fee
10% CA Sales Tax
and a proposed 50% fed tax

Agree...

So, buy more ammo :)

with demand dropping after this last months initial panic buying, and supply not being a problem, i predict most prices will be close to what it was in January 2020, by June 1.

Very very few of the new owners will be buying ammo beyond the usual box or two at the range.

I will “probably” buy more once prices settle out.

Probably is not like maybe. It means “hell yeah I am gonna!”

I would say $1 and green tip will be $1.25, like it was not so long ago. Ugh. I hate when ammo gets inflated. I really hate when reloading supplies are inflated and impossible to find.
I’ve been ruthlessly trolling poors on armslist.

I'm with both of you... I have plenty but I could always use more and hate having to go fishing to find it.

I've been doing the same as you bigfatcock. I got 9lbs of H4895, 4lbs of H4064 and 3lbs of Titegroup on Armslist today for $250. Amounts to about $16 and change per 1lb can. Couldn't pass it up, good guy too.

hopefully it's whatever powder the label says, and not just a potpourri of all the odds and end powders the guy had left over when he cleaned out his bench.

it's not so much the steel case, because thats coated. It's the hard bimetal bullets that wear out your barrel.
