K-Bars What Knife is in your pocket right now?

Bkultra,
I promised you some photos of the Mel Pardue. Technically it is my pocket right now, so I guess I am not hijacking the thread! (new guy here so I want to be respectful of the rules)

I have a Benchmade bailout that I will occasionally carry, but personally I don't like to have a knife in my pocket with my keys,etc.. just seems to like I have too much stuff.

I usually have a MTK Talon knife on my neck. It is pretty small, but I forget its even there most days and it has kept a super sharp edge for years and it gets used quite often.

Today it's the Buck Tempest in 154CM (296GY). This assisted opener was one of the first "exotic" a blade steel knives I purchased, and another Paul Bos heat treatment job done quite well. It's been out of production for years, and this one's been through a lot, but with some maintenance and attention it's still going strong. For some reason I really like this knife - even with all it's pointy, non-ergonomic parts.

Kershaw 1745 Ener-G2. This one is a Lee Williams design in Sandvik 13C26 steel. This design uses William's "kick stop" mechanism where the flipper is a separate part that becomes the blade stop after it's done its job getting the blade moving. That's why you don't see the flipper part sticking out at the choil like so many other flippers. The flipper is laying flat along the back of the knife in position to serve as the blade stop. A very ingenious design. This knife is heavy, but quite ergonomic. Sandvik 13C26 is a fine grained powder metallurgy steel that takes a wicked edge and holds it well. 13C26 has largely been supplanted by 14C28N for knife blades, but I'm still a fan of of both this obsolete knife and blade steel.

For the longest time I carried a Buck Vantage. Not the greatest blade steel but I really liked the ergos. The belt clip never bent or loosened up like most tend to. The Buck knife still looks like new and shows no signs of any issues.

I have a Zero Tolerance ZT 560 Hinderer with a belt clip that appears to be made from mild steel and I'm forever bending it back into shape. Real nice knife outside of that but that cheap belt clip browns me off of it. ZT needs to take a serious look at the steel they use for that, it's crap.

These days I carry the CRKT Homefront.

It's bigger and less discreet than the Buck but has much better blade steel and I really like how it can be disassembled and cleaned.

So far after about a year with this one I have no issues to report. Good solid knife and always a crowd pleaser.

Lg Ti Sebenza with Insingo blade. It’s about all I carry these days other than a Para3.

I have been using a SOG vulcan for 6 years. I have used and abused it in all kinds of situations. Lots of time in the field (army infantry). The sanmai steel is solid!
