What target barrel for my stock Colt LE6920 M4?

My LE6920 M4 with a Giessele SSA-E trigger shoots about 1" groups shooting reloaded Sierra 65 grain Spitzer Boat Tail Game Kings. I would like to get it shooting under 1/2" groups.
What barrel do you guys suggest?

If you want a rifle that will "consistently" shoot under a 1/2" @ 100 yds, I suggest you buy a custom barrel mounted on a bolt action rifle, rather than a semi-auto. There are plenty of very good heavy semi-auto barrels, 16" and longer, made by Kreiger, Lilja, Douglas, JP, BCM, WOA, Noveske, Rainier Arms, Compass Lake, just to name a few. But consistent 3/4" groups are a more likely outcome than consistent sub 1/2" groups.

And an accurate AR barrel is more likely to be found chambered with a standard .223 chamber, rather than the common .223 Wylde, or other 5.56mm chambered barrels, like your Colt has. The longer lead built into 5.56MM chambers allows increases in velocity, but does nothing to enhance accuracy.

But a "consistent" 1/2" shooter in an AR with all those moving parts is rather a tall order, and one that requires more than just the fitting of a new barrel.

I had a Bushmaster DCM that would shoot 10 shot groups under 1/2". As for a bolt gun my hunting rifle I had built for antelopes is a 6mm Norma BR. Here is the first 400 yd. target I shot to see if I was on the paper when testing my custom turret. Then the .375" 5 shot group it shot at 200 yds. Oh, sorry about me bragging. Kevin Rayhill of Stockade Gunstocks built me a real shooter.

Krieger 20" dcm profile. Youll need a rifle length ff handguard, gas tube, etc as well.

Personally I would grab a complete 20" A4 upper from WOA and be able to swap between 16" and 20".

I have this (Krieger) barrel on a Mega build and it is super accurate. I am confident it is a 1/2 MOA gun when I do my part. All top quality internals and billet upper and lower. My friend has a JP and it is nearly as accurate. That said, I have had a bunch of ARs and this is the only one that has shot this well for me. I think there is a little luck involved when you are simply swapping out parts.

I have a Bushmaster Predator 24" and it shoots my two preferred hand loads quite nicely. Shoots quality factory loads under MOA too. Hornady Match, Federal Match, etc.

69 gr SMK @ 3033fps will do .202" 3 shot groups if I do my part. Pretty meticulous hand loads though, no quick and dirty loading. Weigh each powder charge. SD was within 4fps.

And a second hand load during work up did under 1/2" too.

My quick load varmint rounds are a 50gr. V-Max at about 3400fps. They are just over 1/2" groups.

My 6922(1/9 twist) has great potential shooting 60 and 55 gr ballistic tips. It also does well with 69gr SMKs. It's the only Colt barrel I have experience with, but I think they have pretty good potential. I'm not sure about 1/2 moa consistently though, but easily under an inch. It might be worth it to try a couple different projectiles first.
