Hi guys,

If I am shooting CCI sv - what should I expect on average the FPS difference? And in turn how much that would affect vertical dispersion, would it add 1moa? 2moa?

Anything from 1/4 inch to 6 inches of vertical at 50 yards.
All dependent on the CCI assembly line.
Some production runs are better than others.
CCI does not have the quality control in place to produce consistent results.
I've recorded 50 shot runs over the chronograph and the ES ranged from 50 fps to over 250 fps.
It's cheap bulk 22lr. You get what you pay for.

I’ve had boxes of cci sv that consistently shoot sub moa at 50, and then boxes that shoot 2moa or worse.. or sub moa with a wild flyer every 5 shots..
They’re fine for just putting rounds down range, but if you want something with consistent accuracy they aren’t it.

I've had good groups - .75 - .5" with CCI SV at 50 yards. But it really opens up at 80+ yards. I doubt many consider it and an accuracy candidate. But it's good and cheap for practice and plinking.

Just to echo what everyone is saying, it's good for cheap ammo up to ~80 yards. The batch I'm using right now has a 70 fps difference. I'm very new to this, so once this batch is done I will try some others out.

Usually what I see is 2 or 3 shots in the group look real good then stack the next 2 shots 3/4" directly below. Which to me suggests a significant velocity change. Then the next group of 5 may not have any fliers and measure .5"

Hmm I’ve had Better results with my Tikka T1x. CCI standard is more consistent that eley contact , club, and sport
6 diff 500 bulk packs. Random selected boxes from each bulk pack shoot 1 to 1.3 MOA at 100.
3.5inches at 214 yards for 20 out of 25 shots at 214 yards the other 5 are 6-8 inches high or low.

I have shot CCI SV off and on over the years, never had any luck with it until recently, got a few boxes that were decent, still not match ammo, seems to do better in pistols for me, ok to practice with, break in your gun, etc.

With a factory barreled 10/22 I can get CCI SV to do 7/10 inside a 2 inch bullseyes at 100 yards. The other 3 will be inside a the 3 inch target.

During a recent conversation with customer service at CCI
I asked Cody, the service representative,
what to expect from CCI SV at 100 yards. I was told it should average
note: average, 2 inches for 5 shots. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
With my current brick, sometimes a lot more. :D

That is what I have seen. I have had one lot that was awful. But I noticed you could see huge globs of wax on the bullets. That lot shoot so bad I don’t even practice with it.
I’ve also had one magic lot. Shoots better than Eley, but only had 300 rounds of it.That lot could do 10/10 inside 2 inches at 100 and half were inside 1 inch.

CCI SV has the ability to be accurate. You just have to get lucky with the lot number. I made a note on all these targets to remind me what was shot with ZA10 lot number. I started out with three cases and I'm down to my last brick.
