I am handicapped and am planning a hunt in New Mexico, so I want to have a walking stick, that I can also shoot off of. I have a couple of the Primos trigger sticks, but they specifically state that they are not to be used as walking sticks, plus one of my two, occasionally 'collapses' on it's own without any squeezing of the trigger, so that would be bad if using as a walking stick. I am looking for a manufactured product, not a set of dowels lashed together or such.
Thanks for any input.

I invented a walking stick bipod. I used a piece of lodgepole pine that was straight. A piece of heavy dowel would work just fine. Rip it down the middle on a table saw. You might want to pop a chalk line on it, or eyeball a straight cut. Drill a hole for a bolt about six inches down from the top. The bolt will allow this to hinge open. You can either tie a piece of string below the bolt to keep it from openning to far, or put a piece of something across the top to keep it from openning too far. With a flick of the wrist you can open it up and be ready to shoot. You can rest on top or use the sides of the bipod to rest on. When I use the side to rest on, I hold my rifle with my left hand and rest my right elbow on my knee which is up. This is a modified type of kneeling position. It's a little steadier than just resting on top. I love this walking stick for hunting whitetail.....
