Suppressors Whatever happened to the XDM 9 Tactical?

I remember seeing it on another forum. The guys took a picture of it at the 2009 shot show. Was it just a prototype and that's it or can I hope to buy one eventually?...Or is it just an aftermarket compensator and red dot?

Based on an article I read, Springfield had a couple one offs that their custom shop made.

Springer Precision (and others) will perform custom work on the XD/XDm platform that will give you same features, including the texturing/frame work, the mag well/extended mags, the compensator, and the red dot rear sight...and of course all of the accuracy/reliability work See here:

I would have a hard time understanding how that would be considered a "tactical" gun. It looks more like a competition gun if anything.. unless it's an Airsoft.

Nice looking piece. Would be a helluva game gun with that capacity!
