Guys, I am kinda on the fence here. I purchased a new AIAE MKII in .308 back at the beginning of the year. It is 2.0 folder with 18 MOA mount mille to fit S&B 5x25. The barrel length is 24 inch, and I upgraded to the Bartlein 1-10 twist. I also have a TAB od sling for it. I am debating getting a new 2012 Honda Foreman 500FE, so I may sell this rifle. I have 125 rounds of Black Hills 175 match through it. It shoots like an AI should, great. I am not digging the two-stage trigger through, so thats the only reason I would consider selling this awesome rifle. What do you think its worth. Any interest?

I would suggest you look through the for sale forum, as plenty have been sold here. That is the best advice I can give. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

consider selling at 80% of price new and you're looking at approximately $3000 for the AE and 2600 for the S&B.

It's worth whatever you will take for it and whatever someone will pay for it. List it for what you want, not what others think it's worth. If it doesn't sell, reconsider the asking price. At some point you will sell it, maybe for what you have in it and maybe for a loss. You don't know until you figure out your bottom price to let it go. List it, it will sell.

guys im not trying to auction it off. hell it is not even for sale yet. i was just trying to get a ball park idea. i see new AIAE MKII's 2.0 listed for about 4100 . that is with a plain AI barrel. i have seen quite a few in the for sale section over time in the 3500 range, but they were older, 1.5's, and with standard barrels. Personally, I'd estimate it being worth somewhere around $3500. A realistic street price for a new rifle in the same configuration is going to be somewhere in the vicinity of $400-500 higher, and that's for a new rifle. Wouldn't you spend a few hundred dollars more to know that your top-of-the-line precision rifle hasn't been mistreated or abused by a previous owner? That's the calculus that drives pricing on used weapons - it's up to the seller to determine a price that effectively weighs the savings against the perceived value added of a new product.

There has been some very solid advice here, list it for what ever you want, but when no one bites then you either have to lower the price, or stick to your guns (no pun intended) and wait for someone to buy, there are going to be tons of guys kicking tires asking you to lower the price you need to decided if you are willing to do it to get the thing sold.

I would say in the current crappy gun market you would be lucky to get even 3300 for it unless you accept credit cards. Not saying it isn't worth more but currently you can buy used rifles way cheaper than i have ever seen honestly so i wouldn't be suprised if 3000 was all you got for it.

I would keep it,the market is just not there anymore ,as you would be up against a ton of other guys that are selling there rifles in the MP right now,and are willing to sell for a lot less than what was paid for them.

Yeah guys I think I'll will hold on to it. I don't have to sell it , I was just wondering what it may be worth. I guess I will just wait and save for the new 4 wheeler unless I decide to sell something else instead. Thanks for the advice guys.
