Thanks for the links.
Saw a few recipies I want to try.
Some of the ingredients are gonna be hard to find here!
Noodle soup, mango salsa, and drunken wings.
First three I picked, and they all look good.
(Can't go wrong with Burbon)

Hair of the dog, morning after.
go for a walk and pick wild mint.
Get back to camp and crush mint.
Have other people get the fire going and crush ice.
Put in picture, and add plenty of tequila.

Simple salsa recipie.
Pot of skinned and diced tomatoes.
Slowly cook down to one half to a third.
Get enough peppers and onions ready to fill pot back up after tomatoes cook down.
cook that down a bit.
Add vinegar and salt to taste.
At least 1/2t salt per pint.
No need for tomatoe paste, if you take your time cooking the tomatoes down.
Hot jars, hot rings, hot sauce.

Who Me,
Can you tell us how you make that?

Maybe we should remind Maser, the next time he is in the shout box!

Fantastric pictures and beautiful color on those hot little devils. Pequins- didn't see them, then again they are tiny. I thought that those were for only the hardcore fire eaters down here. Obviously I was wrong.

All the talk about Sriracha yesterday made me pick up some Pho on the way home from work. It rocks with the Vietnamese food, but Tabasco & Crystal are in the cupboard at home.

I like El Yucateco chipolte sauce. It makes a great rub for meat, (before you add your own rub) or is also good by itself.
I find it in the local Mexican groceries for about $1.60 a five ounce bottle. Be sure to shake well. Regards, FM

Posts? I saw an entire such thread go bye-bye in my short tenure here. Not my executive decision, but I begin to think that Maser is somebody's terrible, dirty little secret.

I grow cayennes, habaneros, jalapenos and have grown scotch bonnets. I only grow the habs for my friends that like them. We thread and dry the cayennes and pickle the jalapenos cause Chicken Lady likes hot food every once in a while. I can't eat the dang stuff but they are fun to grow.

This was our first year growing jalapenos in the garden. They went over great and we will have to grow about 3x as many next year.

Growing point here: We too grew jalapenos, habanero's, and cayenne. We had two issues. Practically nothing growing, and an infestation of aphids. We powdered (Sevin) a few times, then resorted to spraying (Malathion) and still the problem persisted. Out of total frustration, I yanked the one particular plant that had by far the most. Launched it across the yard, but that's another story.

Since then, no more spraying because there's no more bugs. And ALL of our plants/crops have flourished.

We're getting MANY tomatoes, green and red peppers, jal's, hab's, cayenne's, and chives even. Everything has been flourishing since.

Aphids are our enemy, here, and it seems that Napalm is our friend. Well, when you're mad, anyways.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Ladybugs don't eat fabric, plants, paper or any other household items. They like to eat APHIDS. Aphids are very small, but very destructive pest that feed on plants. (If you have rose bushes, and gardens you have probably seen aphids.)</span>

Sean, buy some lady bugs and sprinkle them around your plants.

If you get an infestation of aphids you cannot back down at all, nuke them until you don't see them anymore and then a week later nuke the ones that were hiding the first time.

the problem with lady bugs is that I can't make enough leetle beety leashes to keep them in the garden.

+1 for the Louisiana Hot Sauce. Hot sauce doesn't have to scald your tonsils to bring out and enhance the flavor of whatever you put it on.

Couple of homemade pickled eggs, some pickled polish deer sausage, box of Ritz or soda crackers, Louisiana Hot Sauce, and a six pak makes a great gourmet meal for the football game!!

Hell, just do a Google image search on "pecker peppers," they're everywhere. At least we know now why somebody wants to see Maser eat a few peppers.
