I know about the mcnett camo scope wrap tape, I don’t want any camo patterns tho. Does anybody know where I can get just black? When I try to search, I keep getting bandages. I saw a guy at the range who had his scope wrapped and he said he got it at Brownells or midway or something but I cannot find it. I am neurotic about keeping my scopes scratch free

It sticks to itself, and does not have any heavy adhesive on the back, so there is no residue left if you have to remove it. It is also very elastic, so it is easy to stretch and pull it into angles and shapes. I throw it on gear all of the time for camo purposes, and it is very quick and easy to use. It takes a little practice to get the application technique perfected, but it is not hard to learn. If you are going to beat the $#!@ out of the surfaces that you put it on, you may be better off going with a traditional tape type product.
Kinesiology Tape also works well:

It does have adhesive and will stick directly to the surface.
Both of those products are much better IMHO than traditional tapes because they stretch and conform to irregular shapes much better.
