Rifle Scopes Which anticant level does everyone like?

Re: Which anticant level does everyone like?

I have a scope mounted ACD from brownells. It's made well, works well and is solid BUT to see it you have to take your head off the stock just before firing to make sure things are in check.... Which is a bit untidy.
The rail mounted option would be ok I'm guessing but they tend to stick right out the side ready to get caught on kit.

There was a guy working on building a level into the scope rings themselves not long ago, it's a concept idea at the moment from memory but it could be a pretty good idea.

At least with the scope ring version, if you have a swivel bipod locked down it will tend to stay pretty close once you've got it level.

It's a bit of a 1%er but that's the kind of thing you need to focus on the farther out your target is. If memory serves me well, 1 degree of cant is roughly 1 MOA.

I run a bsquare in front on the rear ring on the rail All I have to do is open my left eye to see it. It seems to work quite well and was cheap too.

I use this one from Defensive Edge:

Doesn't block my view at all. I can see the bubble level clearly with my left eye, while my right eye is still on the level with the scope. I don't have to adjust my cheek weld at all. Works great!

And what if you have a 34/35mm scope, what then?
