My daughter is going to be shooting f tr class this summer and she is very small, small hands and short arms. She really likes shooting a HS precision standard stock that is on her savage rifle that she shoots alot prone. This stock does not seem like a good choice for a dedicated f class rig. She is having pierce engineering put her a rifle together and his actions use a remington footprint. Would i be better off buying her a chassis like a XLR or something, she laid behind a Mcmilliam A5 and the grip was just to large. We have the same problem with her palma rifle, Masterclass is making her a stock for that but have not heard from them and cant get them on phone so dont want to go that route for this rifle.

Re: Which Stock for small stature

Why not take an HS stock and send it to Stock Doc and have him install an adjustable cheek for her. If the stock fits, it's a good choice. Period. The only part of the stock that touches anything is the buttstock on the rear bag. You could also go with one of the HS stocks with the flatter buttstock and adjustable cheek built in.

Re: Which Stock for small stature

You can install a spacer system onto the stock which she has now without too much trouble. Ditto on bolting on a Karsten or XLR cheekpiece. That, & it's not particularly complicated to stiffen up the stock's forend either. If you're concerned about the flexibility of the HS Precision.
