Who did this bolt knob install?

Years and years ago I had a bolt knob installed by someone I found on this board however I cannot remember who it was. Theirs was done a bit differently than most I've seen because they used a couple hex screws to additional strength to the handle where it meets the bolt itself. Anyone know who the installer was?

Yep...sounds like a Jeff Hicks/HD Rifles/Cactus Weapons/etc./etc. job.

Does it look like/similar to this:

That appears to be the one. I do remember it taking a very long time for it to get done.

I seem to recall a couple years ago, <span style="color: #FFCC00"><span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline">Hooper</span></span></span> was offering this same service. Kinda' an "intro" offer of some sort.

I'm assuming that it's soldered on at the factory and gunsmiths offer welding as a service?

Re: Who did this bolt knob install?

Thanks. Yes we still do them.
However, I ran into a Stainless handle recently that cobalt drills would not drill. It appeared the bolt had the handle worked on before and was work hardened.

I think from now on I will take a hardness tester to the ones that look to be re soldered.

The only screw that is really needed is the one on the side.
