Years and years ago I had a bolt knob installed by someone I found on this board however I cannot remember who it was. Theirs was done a bit differently than most I've seen because they used a couple hex screws to additional strength to the handle where it meets the bolt itself. Anyone know who the installer was?

HD rifles did that type of install....but they are long gone with a lot of peoples money.

That appears to be the one. I do remember it taking a very long time for it to get done.

I used to have a GAP build on a R700 that had two hex screws in the bolt handle.
If you're looking for someone to do another I would call them.

Thanks. Yes we still do them.
However, I ran into a Stainless handle recently that cobalt drills would not drill. It appeared the bolt had the handle worked on before and was work hardened.
I think from now on I will take a hardness tester to the ones that look to be re soldered.
The only screw that is really needed is the one on the side.
