Who has Re-barreled a Larue OBR 7.62 to 6.5 CM?

What barrel did you use?

Who did the gunsmithing?

Gas system Details? does it run? does it run suppressed?

Im not sure how useful this will be but maybe. I rebarreled my UU Larue (not an OBR) from .308 to 6.5 creed. I bought the rifle +2 gas and added an SLR adjustable gas block. Also tossed in the JP Silent Captured Spring. It runs excellent, the gas block adjustability and the +2 keeps it from tearing the shit out of my brass. I run it suppressed frequently without issue, changing from unsurpassed to suppressed (or vice versa) doesn't seem to require further adjusting the gas. Its a very smooth shooter.

I had a Larue OBR that woulnt shoot for shit (1.5 MOA) so I swapped their barrel out with a Carbon Proof 20" barrel with a +2" gas system.
Its one of the most accurate Semi gas guns I've ever shot in the last 15 years of shooting large frame gas guns. (My first was an Armalite AR10T)
I run a Thunderbeast 7" suppressor and a adjustable gas block and its runs extremely smooth.
Most gas guns start falling apart past 600y but this Proof barrel is as close to a bolt as I have ever seen even out to 1400y.

did you have to use the barrel extension from the larue? or does the proof work with the larue upper?

What barrel manufacturer did you use?

I've done it before, the is the OBR handguard is to short to run a 6.5CM with +2 Gas system without it looking kind of funny. I used a JP Barrel extension, and I switched over to the JP Lmas BCG.

I'd do 20" 6.5 CM with rifle length gas, and a full Mass buffer styem.
