wind meter that just measures wind

Gents,

I'm looking for a reasonably priced wind meter that just measures wind. I'm not going to spend the money on a Kestrel, I don't have a smart phone, and I hate computers. With a passion. I do, however, like this forum.

I'd like to make my wind call then double check it with an accurate instrument.

The Kestrel 1000 does exactly that for around $70. I'm not aware of a cheaper option that doesn't require a smart phone.

Yep, I agree buy the Kestrel 1000, and if you want the other measurements buy the kestrel 2500 that will give you all the weather data you need,

Frank, I really am a knuckle dragger (by choice) so no dice on any apps, but thanks just the same.

On another note, review in progress on the switch barrel set up Matt Stewart built for me. Fine as frog's hair.
