8 scopes for 1 guy in a year, I don't know, I would hate to see a customer like that walk away.
Eins, Zwei, Drei, Vier...

If I understand you correctly, you had eight amicable transactions with this same company within the year, and now you are upset due to one custom job for which you had to wait longer than the stated deadline?
I have to ask if you've ever hired a contractor. Even in the building industry it's a pretty standard formula to double the time promised, whether it be for a home remodel or a contractor bid on a government job. I don't know if contractors just tend to be overly optomistic, or if they purposely deceive in order to increase the likelihood of securing the contract ahead of some other lying competitor, or maybe both, but it's par for the course, not that that excuses the practice.
Anyway, you should either receive the item contracted or a full refund, and an apology in either case. Personally, though, I wouldn't burn the bridge over one transaction if I had eight prior good ones....unless they didn't make good in some way.
