Wyatt DBM...Pain In the Neck to Load, Any Tips ?

Hey all !
I have my Wyatt bottom metal and DBM all installed and ready for the range tomorrow...Only thing is, the mag is a real pain to load. Don't get me wrong, its do-able but very awkward since the spring is only towards the back half of the mag, so the round tends to take a nose-dive whe you try to pack it in there. The first few rounds are pretty easy but get increasingly difficult the more ya' pack in there.

I'm sure there's someone out there that has an easy trick or tip for making it a little easier to load ?

Thanks !

Scott

Re: Wyatt DBM...Pain In the Neck to Load, Any Tips ?

I had a setup like yours a couple of years ago. Never could master smooth mag loading no matter what I tried. I finally just gave up and restocked the rifle with a Manners T-5A with Badger DBM. AICS mags are just so much easier to load.

I know this doesn't help you solve your problem but I never could find a predictably reliable approach for the Wyatt's

Best of luck

I cut out a small portion of the feed lips so I could push down on the body of the prev round with the head of the round going in. If that makes any sense.

Your rig looks exactly like my partners rifle minus the QD suppressor mount. It took him a year to get sick of the Wyatts system and move into the AICS like I told him to do a year ago but he did not listen to me then. He dumped the B&C stock and Wyatt system and went to the AICS and has been happy ever since. Plus Wyatts customer service is terrible, he had mag issues and reached out to them and they have never responded back.
