A YouTube spokesman confirmed to Gizmodo the ban on videos showing users how to use a bump stock device. The update is now reflected in the company’s community guidelines. The policy change was first reported by The Telegraph.

“We have long had a policy against harmful and dangerous content,” a YouTube spokesman said. “In the wake of the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, we have taken a closer look at videos that demonstrate how to convert firearms to make them fire more quickly and we’ve expanded our existing policy to prohibit these videos.”

I bet if you look there are probably a dozen videos on how to assauult police officers and make antifa piss bombs though.....

The 1996 Telecommunications Act (Big Medias Mind control signed by Bill Clinton) is way more dangerous to our liberty than banning the bump stock ever was. Take the Media back and things get better all around.

    Take it back to where?

Going back as far as early newspapers, they were even more political than now, being outright, out in the open mouthpieces for the political parties. As bad as things are now, they are nowhere as biased as they have been.

Was broadcast media ever straight and true? Tell me when that was the case.

All of these media are, all they have have ever been, is simply a means to attract the public's attention while feeding it a steady diet of advertising.

The Act was not about Politics it was about Big Media. Before you could only own a few TV, Radio stations or news papers. It gave a very diverse Media with widely varying opinions. Now there are 7-8 people controlling everything. This is never good for us.

They know there are people who will believe whatever BS they spew. The internet is helping make it more diverse but then you have the great google that can drive you where ever they want. So you want to take your country back? Start with the info.

Videos of how to defraud the state for welfare services, Ok. Create jihad in the USA, ok. Build various illegal devices, OK. Reproduce copyrighted materials, oK......bump fire a rifle. Banned.

    Yeah, that seems legit.

Youtube is too big for its own britches, and it uses its preponderance as part of the Google empire, to wield unhealthy influence upon the First Amendment and its enjoyment by the people of this country.

What we are seeing is the rise of corporate nation-states that transcend geopolitical boundaries and have no traditional regional or even hemispheric allegiances. Power is running through the fingers of the people like weighted rope on a pulley.

    God help us.

Yeah, it's a fucking nightmare. Fortunately, smart people are working on solutions. Everything kinda sucks at the moment, but it's getting better.

Just to name a few. Little by little providing alternatives to the offerings of cloud providers and services with shit that is hard to kill or control. It's our best option for getting rid of communist owned IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc providers among other things.

Just checked and their a bunch of bump stocks videos. Must be ones that show how to install them.

Their algos aren't perfect, and largely rely on people flagging the videos. Usually when I come across a video that's been removed for one reason or another, searching for the video title will bring up other, less-viewed, posts of the same video that haven't been flagged yet.

If you take a controversial video, post it on youtube, link it on large boards or facebook or whatever, it'll get banned pretty quickly. What happens, though, is people download the video and repost it immediately.

I don't have a problem with YouTube other than my wife keeps asking me why I'm watching girl fights because that is all it recommends after I get through on it.

Not only the above alternatives, but there is ALSO an alternative to the fb thingy. It is called Mewe, and I personally highly recommend it. I've tried to get others to use it, but it just seems that if it ain't fb, then nobody's interested because they need to be surrounded by their friends. Or something.

Law Abiding Citizen , there. Check it out, it is not 'monitored' or censored, and so far, it is "ad free".

Never heard of that before. I'll check them out.

Geez. I just noticed there's a rifle on that video. Don't know how I missed it the first twelve times.

Yeah. At first all you notice is the pair of 36s. It's an unusual black powder/cap and ball caliber these days. Someone who is in the CASS will correct me if needed.
