I sighted my SPR in yesterday and went to set the Zero Stop today. It was NOTHING like the enclosed instruction sheet. Just one allen screw to losen and screw down COUNTER clock wise till it bottomed out, replaced the turret and done.

Re: Zero Stop is different on my new Compact

Yes it is. That's my riding lawn mower I ride down to change targets. Really, I'm always there early and I needed a bench where I could shoot at 50yds and 100. He said number 1. It's a long way to haul all my S to the bench. It's a pretty good range, the guys who work there are nice and don 't try to be a hard ass drill instructor, they will get on you if you cross the yellow line during a cease fire, which is great in my opinion. Especially at this time of year when the amatures invade the rifle range. Again, can't bitch too much, we need more shooters and shooting ranges.

Also keep in mind the Zero Stop on the 1-4x NXS is different than the 2.5-10x NXS.

The 1-4x NXS only allows one full rotation of the knob and that is all. I guess that makes it even more idiot-proof. I was disappointed to find this out however because on my 16" AR, I can only get to 575 meters before I need to start using hold-overs.

where is your 1-4 zeroed at? At what distance is my question. </div></div>

100 meters. I'm throwing 77g Bergers @ 2700 fps. Below is my DOPE. As you can see, past 575m, I'm forced to use a combination of hold-overs and the elevation knob since I can only get 4.8 mils from the knob.

I have the Nightforce 1-4 with Zero stop on my Carbine and I do not have any problem getting to 600yds. I zero mine at 100yds and it takes me 17 minutes to get to 600yds shooting 77sie at 2625 fps. There is 19 minutes of elevation on these scopes.
