Bedding oozed into bolt release, how to get it out before it cures?

Second ever bedding job on a kelbly action. When I pressed the action into the marine Tex a little bit oozed up around the bolt release. I have good release agent in there, but I’m trying to decide if I should try and wipe it out before it dries or if that will just just push it further in and cause problems. I haven’t touched it or moved it yet. Thoughts?

I only post on one public forum ( here ) and one private forum. The best private forum by far is allthebilge.com .

Nothing illegal but anything else. Probably some softies here that wouldn't make it past week one but check it out . Right wing, God loving, gun toting people that separate the bullshit from the facts of life.

Brilliant historical piece by James Pinkerton.

Fantastic read and hits the nail on the head….

This is why the MSM is dead. Because the brains have moved to alternate sources. And what is left are Pravda-spewing woke idiots, trained by a previous generation of Pravda-types… that they job is to alter the minds of the American Reader and support a liberal, socialist, communist, Maoist agenda to bring the nation don the shining path of world socialism.

Pinkerton is always in point and here he nails it!!!

HELLS ANGELS ON WHEELS (1967)

In a dusty and rugged part of San Francisco, the hard rock, brawlers, and hippies capital of the 1960s, 'Poet' was a restless young man working a dead end job at a gas station. Already a seasoned street fighter, his temper was short, made even more volatile by crusty scalawags who kept testing him. Every interaction could end up with him dealing out an asswhooping and Poet knew that his time at this job would be short. One day, a band of Hells Angels riders stopped by the gas station. For Poet, nothing was more alluring than being a member of one of the largest and most notorious outlaw motorcycle clubs in the country, and he made up his mind as he took in the acrid fumes and the growling thunder of Harleys idling around him. One thing led to another and Poet was invited to become a hangaround of the club, and then a patch-rocking prospect. However, as Poet's rough and tumble nature carried him up through the ranks of the club, he learned that with every step in that organization came with hard prices to pay, far harder than a metal chain enclosed haymaker connecting with a skull in the most brutal alley fight...

Playing the President of the Hells Angels MC in this movie is none other than Sonny Barger himself, who in 1967 was the chapter president of the Oakland, California HAMC charter.

Trouble with Nightforce ATACR Zero

So I had my rifle zero'ed just fine recently, but had to send my action back for some looking over for an issue I had. But now I got the rifle back assembeled the way it was prior and went to zero again this morning and it was hitting .2 mils too high. So when I went to adjust down, I couldn't. I know I have the zero stop in play, but when I wanted to adjust the clutch, it wouldn't go anymore negative. No way to get that turret down .2 mils to get my perfect zero. There's gotta be something I'm missing here! Sat there for 2 hours trying to figure this out. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!!!

Nrl hunter cal and config?

A couple of buddies and I are thinking about trying out a few nrl hunter matches this year and weighing options on caliber. The easy button looks to be 24-26” 6.5 creed, which is what I’m leaning towards, but open to other suggestions. Also I am thinking of being in open heavy but not opposed to open light division if I could get there. Couldn’t really find a thread on it so wondering if we could start one where people post their caliber, bullet, velocity, rifle build, barrel material, length, overall weight, scope, etc? I apologize if this has been started but could only find bits and pieces around.

Why do you like rimfire?

For me it was the actual fun in shooting without all the noise but then the competetiveness creeped in. Now I seem to enjoy the art of what makes a rimfire accurate and repeatable. My saturdays are normally spent doing honeydues and or shooting but here lately I find comfort and peace in sneaking down to the shop and making someones dream come true. Happy rainy Saturday my friends(my comfort room)

Lube residue on bullet seating...

Hello,
on my brass preparing process I use the Redding dry Lube for lubing the neck and Redding Imperial Wax.

I Lube the body of the case with Imperial Wax and the fingers and dip the neck on the dry lube then resize.

After that, I clean the exerior of the case with isopropil alcool.

I not use the same product/method for the interior of the neck.
Some time I use a brush, but I think that some residue of dry lube remain.

Have some advantage on seating with lube residue?

Making some advantage on consistency?

Thanks
