New shorty 308

18 inch 308. Barrel work done by LRI. X pattern fluting. MCbros action with DLC coated bolt. AG composite Adjustable Chalk Branch. Stock bedded and painted here. Minox 3-15. APA rings.
SAS 7 inch titanium. My new favorite. It doesn't heat walk either. LRI did a fantastic job on barrel fluting and installation.

SOLD 18” 6creed in Q chassis. 🔥

Thinning the herd and getting rid of a couple of redundant rifles in my arsenal.

-Bergara Premier action (the Q needs top r700 profile for it to work, which Bergara has) with upgraded AI style boltknob.
-Proof Stainless Steel Barrel .243 1:7.5 Med Palma barrel chambered by Southwest action works, finished at 18”, threaded 5/8x24.
-Q Sidechick chassis (with original box), blue accents were spray painted black with Krylon
-Trigger Tech Diamond flat shoe single stage
-Leupold MK5 3.6-18 H59 (original box) GONE
-option 1: Tier One 1.30” long saddle mount 0 moa (with original box) GONE
-option 2: Leupold IMS 1.5” bolt mount 20 moa with Koeng adapter and riser for an Aimpoint T1/T2 (or same footprint)

2000$ shipped to your FFL in lower 48, price is firm so don’t even ask, if it doesn’t sell I’ll keep it, don’t need the money. If you want a TT curved field trigger for some reason, I have one I can swap in.
The only thing you’re not getting is the TBAC brake, keeping that for my can.

If you haven’t had a vasectomy, be extremely careful, your old lady might get pregnant when she sees the groups this thing prints.
400 rounds on barrel, 108eldms at 2915fps.
You get the load data with h4350 and 200 pieces of 2x fired (out of this rifle obviously) lapua brass for free.
Rifle weighs 8.2# on my scale, obviously add 35oz for the optic with tier one mount. Lockup on the folding hinge is amazing.

Trades: NV/Thermal related items +- cash, or high end scopes with T3, specifically looking for S&B 5-20 T3/T5 Ultra Short, I’d trade straight across for that. Would consider another mk5 3-18 with T3 or NF atacr 4-20 w/T3 as well.

SOLD 223 Remington 700 LRT XCR Barreled Action

300 rounds, was going to use for a build but changed my mind. Shot well before I disassembled it. Complete with Bolt and Trigger, if just buying for the action, I can pull the barrel and send minus the barrel if preferred. Great condition, jeweling on the bolt (has a tactical jeweling) is still nice, timed pretty well. S prefix. 450+shipping to FFL. 26 inch barrel, 1:9 twist, not threaded. Taking money order for it.

What The Pros Use -Best Rifle Scope For Long Range Precision Shooting 01/20/25

Screenshot_20-1-2025_162533_precisionrifleblog.com.jpeg

Congratulations to ZCO!

"ZCO scopes picked up 6% more shooters among this group to land at 20% overall. That was enough to edge out Leupold from the top spot that it held last year. Leupold represented 19% of the pros this year, compared to 22% last year.

Tangent Theta scopes went from 2nd to 3rd most popular but were once again just 2% behind Leupold. Nightforce had a similar showing year-over-year with a respectable 13%. Kahales picked up a few percentage points to land at 11% today, and Vortex dropped from 14% to 10% among this group of pros."

Zero Compromise Optic (ZCO) Scopes: 20% of Pros

20% of the top 200 ranked shooters in the PRS said they were running a Zero Compromise scope when I surveyed them at the end of the 2024 PRS Season. That included 3 of the shooters who finished the 2024 PRS Season in the top 10 in the Open Division, which was as many as any other brand among the top 10. They also had a total of 12 among the top 50 competitors, which means they were well-represented at every level.

The moment they realize the numbers don’t match

It only took 12 of them to figure out that it was the wrong guy .

But Because they are retarded they did threaten to shoot him in the face .
And want qualified immunity to be invoked so they don’t get sued .
Fucking retards

For those of you following the threads I said I’d post a wrong house wrong cat wrong person thread every week this year . So far it hasn’t been hard to find a good example.

So you want to get your feet wet in the prs but don't know where to start. Well start here and pull out that checkbook. Everything you need to start well minus a kestrel but I hear only pussies use those. ( there's a cheap Caldwell if you really can't tell the wind). Now the details of this magnificent piece.

Mpa competition chassis
Kahles 525i rsw in spuhr rings

Criterion 6.5 creedmoor 20in 5/8x24
Harris bipod 6x9 with arca adapter
Self time muzzle brake can't remember brand
Timney triggertech diamond pro
X ring e dope holder
Armageddon gear game changer
Tab gear bag
Wiebad bag
Tab gear sling
Aadmount scope caps
Kahles throw lever for parallax and magnification
10 round Aic magizine and a 5 round
And lastly a pelican case to keep it safe.

Now how much you think this will all run you? I'm asking the low price of 6500 price drop 6000 obo hell the scope alone new is 3600 and this scope and barrel only has 1500 rounds on it. So what are you waiting on and don't you dare say let me ask the ol lady she don't need to know be a man spend your money on something you want. Shipping will be on the buyer. Biden pardons Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci, J6 committee members

Biden pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley (Ret.), and others who some speculated may have faced investigations under the incoming Trump administration on Monday.

Biden's pardons come just hours before he is set to depart the White House and President-elect Trump takes the oath of office once again. The pardon also applies to a litany of people involved in the January 6 select committee investigation.

In addition to the named individuals, the pardon applies to, "Members of Congress and staff who served on the Select Committee, and the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before the Select Committee."

Notably, Special Counsel Jack Smith, former FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland are not included in the pardon, despite speculation that they may face backlash from the incoming administration.

Seeking Low Back Pressure .30cal Can (so many choices)

Not sure if this is the best place to post this so, Mod, please move if indicated .

Been toying with the idea of getting a .30cal can that I can move around my rifles (so I am new to this world). Mostly milsurp, kit-built or as-built military semi autos i.e. AKMs, FALs, PRT91, PSL, M1A, AR15s/AR10 and others. I also have a couple .308 precision rifles (RPR and Robar SR90) Been doing a lot of Saturday morning reading/surfing and, good lord, what a minefield of options, opinions and choices. Frankly it’s overwhelming.

I’ll probably never put them on my SBR’d Dracos so no short barrel concerns. Not really concerned about heat from full auto or crazy mag dumps so rapid heat up (and cool down) wi Titanium okay. I’m mainly a benchrest plinker slapping steel out to typically 400yds, maybe a couple/few mags at a time slow fire. I’ve learned low-blowback designs may not be as quiet forward of the muzzle but seem to do as well with noise reduction as traditional baffled can at the rear and sides of the shooter. For the precision rifles I may end up getting a traditional baffled Can one day but for my semi-autos I am resolved to get a newer low-blowback design and I’m settling between two newer options on the market. Looking for any thoughts, opinions, experiences with :

Dead Air Nomad Ti XC (under 10oz @ 7”) OR Huxwrx Ventum 762 (14.5oz @ 6.7”)
• Both use a universal Hub system = good.
• Both are Titanium 3D printed.
• The Ventum seems to have a lot of independent seemingly objective, high-praise reviews and gets great marks for some of the lowest blowback performance.
• The Ventum’s guts can come out of the tube which I suppose is a plus for cleaning or service.
• The Ventum is under $1,000
• The Nomad Ti XC is pretty new and I can’t find much independent review of the Ti XC outside of Dead Air or Retailer interviews or what look like product launch videos.
• The Nomad Ti XC: How’s blow-back performance?
• The Nomad Ti XC is a bit lighter but I’m typically on a bench so not a big deal
• The Nomad Ti XC is about $1,100 but ships with either a 5/8-24 direct thread adapter or Xeno adapter and brake.
• (I read about some nasty customer support issues wi Dead Air but when you’re a bigger company and been around a while someone’s gonna get but hurt and spread it all over the internet for others to parrot.)

I’ll have to buy compatible muzzle devices for all potential rifle hosts but will probably just start with a couple/few. I don’t know off of the top of my head what thread specs are for that list of rifles I have. Are there pretty standard muzzle device options out there for standard NATO and ComBloc type rifles (AKMs, FALs, PRT91, PSL, M1A, AR15s/AR10 and others) ?

BTW what the f_ck is with the crazy $90-250+ costs of all these little thread adapters, tapered flash-hiders, brakes, caps or other adapter/widgets in this world? Probably a topic for a whole other thread (and probably is) but I bet if these were no longer NFA items most suppressors would be a couple/few hundred dollars, the hiders and brakes would be under $50 bucks, and other thread-type adapters and caps would be what they should be, around $10 or so dollars (unsolicited opinion, probably in ignorance).

Anyway, preciate any insights and, PS, it would be more helpful if anyone would post something more than . . . . “JUST GET a _______”.

This guy seems to rate all Huxwrx overall highest for low back pressure

Optics Swarovski Binos and Scope, S&B Klassik, Leupold Mk 5, Eotech HHS V

First off, I'm going to acknowledge the "how in the hell?" question that people over on arfcom have been hitting me up with. I initially had five of these Swarovski EL binos and have sold two. I did some work for a dealer and we came up with an idea that helped us both. He'd over bought on these and they aren't moving fast enough. So he offered them as partial payment at a significant discount. So he cleared out inventory, doesn't have to come out of pocket as much, and I get to sell these to increase me profit on the job. And yes, I'm making a profit on them. That doesn't mean I can just give them away, but they are significantly cheaper with me than with anyone else. Onto the sale!

My rules: I do not accept payment via goods and services. On request, I'll link you my profile on arfcom where I have 287 positive feedback spanning almost 14 years.

Edit: I'll accept paypal, venmo, or cashapp for payment.

NOT looking for any trades at this time.

Three BRAND NEW Swarovski EL 10x42 binoculars. These are all unused with full warranty in place. $1500 shipped each.

Swarovski NL Pure 10x42 binoculars. These were taken out on two hunts. Insanely clear and amazing in every way, but it's honestly more than I need in a set of binos. $2500 shipped

Swarovski Z6i 2.5-15x56 4AI illuminated reticle. This scope got zeroed and then sat on a rifle for a few months before I kind of fell into a Z8i. No lens covers for this one. $2000 shipped.

SOLD Leupold Mk5 3.6-18x44 Tremor 3 non-illuminated. Model number 173299. This is brand new in the wrapper. I thought I was going to build something for this, but that never materialized. $1600 shipped. SOLD

Schmidt & Bender Klassik 2.5-10x56 with illuminated reticle. I went from this to the Z6i and then to the Z8i. This was mounted and never zeroed. Very light ring marks that are only visible under perfect lighting. $1300 shipped.

Eotech HHS V. This is an EXPS 3-4 with a G45 5x magnifier behind it. Brand new in box. Just another thing I picked up thinking I would make a build around and never did. $1,000 shipped

Outdoor padding for rifles?

We have a couple of side by side buggies that I drive around all the time. Recently I found a rifle rack that fits the buggies perfectly (it was actually designed for that purpose) and it was free. The rifles lay horizontal on the back of the cab.

The only thing wrong with anything is the old padding on the J hooks where the rifles sit has deteriorated a lot. I've already taken the hooks off and stripped the old stuff off of them. Now I just need to replace the padding with something better.

Here are my criteria. Hopefully I can find something that checks all the boxes. It needs to be outdoor worthy. The more rugged the better. Hopefully nothing too porous or with too much texture. I have found that with certain materials they hold on to sand or grit pretty good. Throw in the normal vibration and movement of everything involved and it becomes like sand paper. I wore the finish completely off of a suppressor and part of an AR lower by sitting it on the seat one time and I don't want to repeat that again.

If you have any suggestions please provide links if possible, but if not please tell me the actual name of the products you recommend.

I do have the option to put a wrap around parts of the rifle(s) that would make contact (for extra insurance) but I still need to replace the padding. Thanks in advance for your help.

Springfield Echelon 4.0C: The Compact 9mm That Thinks It’s Bigger Than It Is

Echelon 4C

Alright, here’s the deal with the Springfield Echelon 4.0C. It’s like the new kid at the gym—compact but punching way above its weight. This 9mm wants to slide into your concealed carry rotation and convince you it’s worth the spot. So, is it all show, or does it actually deliver? Let’s find out.

The Lowdown

Caliber: 9mm Luger. Because why mess with perfection?

Barrel Length: 4 inches—long enough to hold its own, short enough to keep things discreet. Threaded option available for the “extras” crowd.

Frame: Compact, because nobody wants a holster that doubles as a hernia risk.
