Arrested on felony child endangerment warrant- Even though the police went to the wrong address and arrested a woman who was 23 years younger - didn’t have any children , provided ID to prove she wasn’t the person on the warrant, pointed out they were at the wrong address - but for reasons/ revenue kidnapped her anyhow .

Fucking brilliant!!

For those of you that are property tax payers

A post on this forum got me to thinking about the property taxes that we have been paying. Thru out the country, there is a rather nefarious and illegal tax scheme that assessors and collectors have been engaged in:
https://www.kmbc.com/article/missou...unty-property-tax-assessment-process/46178543

This is not only occurring in Jackson Co., MO, but also in many other municipalities. Here is the guy that uncovered the plot in Denton Co, TX:

Yes it is a long video, but if you have a home, business you might want to listen. It can literally lead to you losing your property:

A Missouri judge has ruled against the Jackson county assholes. Unfortunately, the corrupt politicians behind this are not in jail. I hope that will change as there is a news update:

Dr Jay Varma

Anyone see the story of this douche bag from NY? Apparently he was caught on undercover camera disclosing that all the while he was the "Covid Czar" of NYC and was mandating shots and isolation etc etc he was partying in underground sex and dance clubs. He also said he didnt want to close the schools and have the kids learn remotely but the big weine Di Blasio (his words) caved to the pressure of the teachers union and closed schools. So all the people who were fired ,ostracized, shut in and killed are just numbers as long as the elites have their way and do what they want. We still voting out of this?

New-ish neighbor put a harris-walz sign on his lawn

A gray haired older guy and his wife who have been here about two years, now have a harris-walz sign on their lawn. He lives about six houses away and around the corner so it's not in my field of view unless I go toward the back of the development- people walk, run, bicycle, walk dogs, etc. I don't know them except to wave or say hello... Next time I see them I'm going to be honest by telling them they're Nazis. I don't condone vandalism or harassment, but saying it one time is not a pattern and not illegal.

Other neighbors have just laughed at them, or given them the finger when walking by. It's making Americans feel good to use the softest of Dem tactics against them- no longer are Americans using the losing strategy of 'rising above it'. Street tactics are the way.

.338 barrel length

Hello.

Question about .338 LM barrel length (maybe applicable to other .338's too):
I'm interested to know your experiences of long barrels.
Idea is to shoot 300gr VLD bullets way over 1000m. Is there any benefit to have longer barrel than 30 inches?
I know the twist rate needs to be faster or equal than 1:9.3". I understand that velocity should be around 3000fps (900m/s).

Kumala loses in Nov., what happens then?

I bet she won't concede gracefully like a civilized, law abiding candidate. A criminal communist regime that openly stole an election, installing some pants shitting, babbling puppet as the head of their outlaw government, isn't going to pack their bags and leave the White House peacefully, turning the keys back over to Trump,

It isn't going to happen. They staged a coupe to get in power; they will stall and get the courts involved with their crooked judges, demand re-counts which turns up freshly printed ballots, all for Scamala. If for some reason that doesn't pan out, they'll create some major catastrophic event and declare martial law and 'fuck you MAGA people and your elections, we're not going anywhere peacefully. You knew that in 2020.'

What do you think?

Which needle oiler do you like?

Bought my first needle oiler, thought it would help lube a bolt or rails when I get to the range and realize I forget to lube up at home. Small in my range bag. I got this little bottle of CLP but the don't like it because you can't squeeze it for more or less oil. Instead you have to wait for gravity to produce a drop, and it's a pretty tiny drop. So it takes more than a moment or two and it's just too fricking slow. Have you used any oilers that aren't ridiculously slow?

Home construction worth

I’m 29 years old, married, and we have a 2 year old. Living in a townhouse apartment which was built in the 70s and one problem after the other (previous landlords never did anything and the current one tries but lacks financial stability).

Goal is to get out of here in a year or two. Paid off all debt (car loans, credit cards, etc.) and managed to save up $11k since being debt free. Invested that in a high yield savings account with 4.5% APR and adding around $1000 per month. I have a state job and currently make $98k/year. Still have 8 more step raises to go and will be at $130k by the time I max out. My wife is a stay at home mom so single income household.

Not sure what I would get pre-approved for based on my current income. Talked to a construction company and quote for 3bd 2ba w/ unfinished basement (want to add a bedroom and a bathroom eventually) right at $400k (not including the lot). They will purchase the lot and finish construction so I can get a mortgage instead of 20% down and a construction loan (they have already done this for a couple of friends). Not sure how to proceed.

Worth it to go ahead right away and live month to month the first couple years? or better to wait?

Laser vs. scope range finding

Do you generally prefer using a laser range finder, or doing the math in the scope to find range?

I was looking at laser range finders and noticed a number of things, first good ones, meaning ones not geared towards hunters that rarely shoot beyond 300 yards, are stupid expensive. Second, that even the good ones kind of suck when you realize that their quoted maximum range is based on a reflective target under ideal conditions and that the actual maximum range is maybe half of that. Third, most are comparatively low powered magnification and aiming precisely with one can be challenging and at long range can easily give ridiculously incorrect readings because it ranges off of the wrong thing. Fourth, even if you aim it perfectly the range finder itself tends to give inaccurate measurements because at very long range multiple targets are actually reflecting back to it and it takes a best guess which one you are actually aiming at. Fifth, even the expensive ones tend to have issues of not being weather proof. But when they do work they are simple and precise.

Scopes have none of those issues, but take more time and require you to manually do math and be reasonably good at estimation.

So what method do you do and why?

SOLD MPA Hybrid Hunter Carbon Fiber 6.5 PRC

Putting another rifle up for sale that I had great intentions for that never came to fruition due to health issues.

Bought this new from an MPA dealer (Xtreme Guns and Ammo in Richmond Texas) and have shot it only at the range. Too much rifle for the deer I hunt here locally, this was supposed to be an elk hunting rig.

Action: Curtis SA Hybrid Mag Bolt face, Pic rail included (not sure on the MOA, likely a 20)
Barrel: Proof Carbon fiber 6.5 PRC with threaded end for a muzzle brake and one will be included (Area 419 or Heathen I can’t remember) Round count unknown but likely under 100. 1:7.5 Tw
Stock: MPA Hybrid Hunter Chassis, MPA Bag rider, Upgraded cheek riser with WeiBad pad, includes internal weights in the fore end and butt (see pics) and an extended bipod mount
Trigger: Triggertech Special
1 x 300 WSM / 6.5 PRC Magazine (I may have 2)

Bomus Barrel: I also have a 300WSM Proof Carbon 1:10 Twbarrel for this rifle if the buyer wants a switch barrel setup. I also have several boxes of Federal Gold 300 WSM hunting ammunition I can get additional details if the buyer is interested. This barrel will also fit a Terminus Apollo action. Round count is 123

Gun sells for $3500 on the MPA website at the moment, I have over $5K invested with the second barrel. I will sell the rifle with one barrel for $2800. Rifle with the switch barrel setup $3300.

USPS MO or we can discuss other options via PM. I’m pretty reasonable.

Price includes shipping to the lower 48 to the FFL of your choice (who must accept from an individual or else add$ 40).

Please feel free to PM me with questions if you have any.
**Update: I might be interested in trading for a GA Precision rifle if the caliber isn't a thunder stick, something that won't kick the daylights outta me.

Poor's dilemma: Good 30 cal suppressor for 6.5

What is your go-to 30 Cal Can?
What is the cheapest .308 you'd put that on?

Short: I've got a custom 6.5 Swede that I can now afford to put a can on. Is there a cry-once-buy-once 30 cal can that will do well on it? If not, what is a great can for my swede?

Long:
Fork elk hunting under 300 yds, would a can on a Mossberg Patriot .308 make you smile? ($400 w/ threaded barrel.) It's for a stubborn bow hunter; she won't want to make shots longer than 200 yds for a year or 2, but she needs a rifle. I want a can for 2 rifles...

I have a Crescent Customs 6.5 Swede, handload 130's at 3000 fps. I didn't have it threaded when it was built, but that was when I lived in MN and suppressors hadn't been made legal by the DNR. Getting it threaded is the easy decison here.

I've been looking at cheap Scout Rifles for the missus; Mossberg MVP is the only poor's that meets Cooper's criteria, but the Ruger Ranch and Mossberg Patriot are cheaper, and have an ounce more class.

Where am I going wrong in my thinking?

Ukraine war Bullshit.

This has gone far enough. And the he bullshitters are now in high gear.

A link to the article is first:

https://www.foxnews.com/world/ukrai...s-earthquake-sized-blast-picked-up-from-space

Never mind the article, the comments after the article are the important part. Everyone in the comments seems to think that Russia started the war.

Russia did not start this war. If you don't know that you are severely misinformed. Who started this war? WE DID.

And I'm not going to spoon feed you the details. Do your own freaking research. That's all have to say about that.

It's been a wild type of day.

Woke up this morning around 7am and knocked out one of my tasks from my list of repainting a wall in my dining room so I can get the thermostat back in action. Knocked that out by 0930 and started venturing into other projects to be productive.

By around 1100 I started going through old papers that needed to be shredded, knocked that out and ended up with a big old ziploc bag containing letters that were saved from when I was deployed. Unfortunately water got into that bag while we were living at the apartment so the letters were all but ruined. Rather upsetting but it is what it is.

Anywho- I began the task of going through the bag of letters and pulled an Enron type of deal and spent hours reading what I had and shredding them for about 7-8 hours. It was a bit of a surreal experience, not just the context in which the letters were written necessarily but (for me at least) who wrote the letters). Long since passed grandparents, great aunts/uncles, traditional aunts/uncles... and one of the odd things were due to the water damage, the letters essentially "resealed" themselves so I essentially spent hours reopening letters from when I lived a different life to read letters from deceased family members.

It kinda has my brain scrambled tonight now that it's over and I'm mentally in a different place tonight. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Wooden siding - possible mold

Wooden siding is rotting and I believe there’s mold between the walls somewhere. I can’t see it but it smells horrible. Talked to the landlord and he basically told me that there’s no money to replace the siding since they just fixed up another rental property. The earliest he can do anything is next Spring.

None of us are allergic or anything but we would like to get rid of the smell. Any suggestions on how to do that?
