The tube came from a cnvd-lr that I had retubed . I don’t have any specs on it other than its L3 filmed green tube. There are 3 small blems in zones 2 and 3 that are just visible in the pic. Had a few hundred rounds as a clip on and hasn’t been used since being out into a pvs-14 housing.

Purchased from PR infrared in December 2019. Used a handful of times, probably less than 200rds of mostly 6.5 creedmoor and 308. Can’t remember which direction but it has had .1-.2mil horizontal shift in everything I’ve tried it on. Pics coming.

Not looking for trades

Putting together a new SPR-ish rifle. 18” rifle gas, 223. Will be primarily built as a “duty” type rifle, but also shot occasionally for some gas gun matches.

I’ve been eyeing the NF NX8 2.5-20 F1. At the price I’m paying for this optic, are there any better options at this price point? I’ve heard mixed reviews on the NX8.

Ive had a standard HMR many years ago, and a SV years ago as well. Liked both guns, and both shot very well.

Im looking at these 2 rifles at the moment. The hmr pro is $100 more, but does have a better stock IMO over the SV.

Talk me into 1 or the other.

Question for the Hide on their experiences with aging family members and holiday traditions. We're a week out from Thanksgiving and still haven't a clue on what the proverbial plan is. A lot has changed over the recent years. On my wife's side- her grandmother used to host her side of the family at her house and likely did so for over 60 years. She passed away last year so that familial tradition is now operating in a void this year.

On my side of the family- my Aunt used to host Thanksgiving for us but about 3 years ago health issues stopped her from being able to host and my mother (very apprehensively tried to fill in). Well my Uncle (said Aunt's husband) also passed away last year and my Aunt is in a rehab facility from recently breaking her hip. My own parents are having health issues of their own which complicates them from hosting Thanksgiving this year and now I'm in a situation resembling a Spiderman meme on who's going to catch the hot potato.




My brother lives in a different state and cannot come up to PA for a turkey dinner. My wife's sister lives in a different state but will be up for Thanksgiving but it seems that both sides of the family are looking at us to pick up the Thanksgiving torch this year. My apprehensions there are that we (1) just purchased the house this year and are still waiting on the furniture we ordered to be delivered and (2) Admittedly I'm very reluctant to enter this holiday as a host because I absolutely believe we'll end up being 'stuck' with it for years to come. To add to the 'joyful' nature of the situation, neither sides of our families necessarily interact with each other either so it's not like it'd be a harmonious joining of families if we did bite the bullet and hosted.

All that said- I'm not looking for any counseling on my family situation here, rather I'm just venting and wondering if anyone else has run into similar family issues with Thanksgiving/Holidays and if so- if they'd be willing to share what the issues were at the time, how they dealt with it, and what the hindsight option was.

Tis the holiday season and it brings out the absolute 'best' in families am I right?

So I wanted to see if anybody has dealt with Sgt Of Arms since the start of 2024. I have had a barrel on order from them since January 31 of 2024 and was given a 12-20 week lead time. Which I was fine with. Obviously we are over double that and then some. I checked on it a few times once it got over the estimate and got told about them moving barrel work in house and that setting them back a few weeks and I understood. So I’d call 1 time a month ish to see what the status was and got a new excuse every call. Now as of the last 3 months it has become nearly impossible to get them to answer the phone, they will not return voicemails either. Their website is automated and they don’t respond there too. I was finally able to get somebody to answer Monday and voiced my concerns. I was assured I’d get an answer on my order and the status by end of day. I have still not heard back and tried calling again yesterday and left yet another voicemail. I have tried calling quite a few times today and different times and still can get anyone to answer. Has this been the experience with anyone else lately? I know Eric is supposed to be a great guy and all and the company has a great quality track record, but this customer service is inexcusable and was curious if other people have the same issue.

TLDR:
Sgt of arms customer service is nonexistent and it makes me question doing business with them especially considering the fact that I wasted an entire year waiting on a product I still have yet to receive.

DAMAGED MPA BA Competition Chassis for sale. It was damaged during shipping (via fedex) awhile back and has been sitting in my safe ever since. You can see in the pic that the side was pushed in a little bit and it broke. There was a tikka t1x barreled action sitting in it. #2 Meopta Optika 6 4.5-27 X 50, First Focal RD Reticle, MRAD, 30mm tube, MPN 653595. Great reticle for an all purpose scope. Very visible at low power unlike most FFP optics. Has illumination but not really necessary with this reticle. Nice locking elevation turret with zero stop. Optika 6 are great value and nice glass, not sure you can do better for the $$ This scope may have been mounted but I don't think it was ever used it. $675 shipped
