Sizing die woes

Having some issues loading for my 6.5 AR10. Loading ammo to 2.800 COAL, I have a criterion barrel that simply will not chamber All the way with my reloads. It used to fine but now it doesn’t. I suspect my die is not sizing the brass down enough, as factory ammunition chambered fine.

All the rounds fit in my delta 5 pro but they won’t chamber the last .10 inches of the case in my AR10. They get stuck to the point I have to actually pry the bolt back with something to get it unstuck if they don’t fire. If fired they extract fine. Also the brass looks scratched up tremendously.

I’m using hornady match grade 6.5 dies. I had not had this problem with my other 18 inch barrel from criterion, I even sent this barrel in to see if it maybe needed to be reamed out a little more and they said it was within tolerance. Headspaced, bedded it and gave me a free bolt. I ran 5 rounds through it after I returned from the range of standard hornady 140gr BTHP and it cycled fine working the charging handle which leads me to believe my dies aren’t sizing correctly. Anything else I can do to check? Magazines were fine and the COAL was good on all rounds IMG_8484.jpeg

Chamber issue on Compass Lake built Aero M5

Good morning all.
This will be a bit lengthy. Please be patient as I'm looking for some advice.
I purchased a Compass Lake built Aero M5E1 308 rifle this winter, the rifle was built in 2019. Here is a post about it:
The seller said that it had at most 10-20 rounds through it. When I bore scoped the barrel there was no carbon fouling and only a little copper build up, and the throat still had reamer marks on the rifling. From this I believe the barrel was only test fired by CLE and not the original owner. What was disappointing though was the reamer was clearly not centered on the bore when the chamber was cut. I could clearly see the freebore section on the upper half of the chamber, the lower half still had the rifling extending all the way to the case mouth. This didn't look good at all but decided to break-in the barrel and start load development, you never know it may just shoot... Unfortunately, and as expected, the rifle has not produced consistent accuracy. I've got a couple loads which showed promise, shooting 1/2 MOA @ 100 with a single 5 shot group, but then opening up to 1.5 MOA on the next.
Not wanting to take the time to go into loads, load development or shooting technique I want to focus on what to do with this rifle. Here are my questions:

Is the Aero M5E upper, rifle also has an Aero lower, capable of producing 1/2 MOA (or close to it) with a quality barrel?

Or should I sell this and have a new rifle built on a Seekins, Larue, or some other brand receiver that prevents the handguard from attaching to the barrel nut and allow a thermal fit barrel?

The goal is to engage targets out to 800 yards, accurately. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond...

Out $600 and lesson learned. The amount of scammers who messaged me on my “WTB” listing was eye opening. I will no longer do transactions on here.

I did my due diligence and everything checked out including IP address.

Medicare Insurance Questions

For those who are old and partially deaf like me, any tips or thoughts on what to get, what to look out for/pitfalls when getting insurance with Medicare?

I have parts A&B, but am no longer covered on my wife's policy so need to pick something up.

I'll be meeting a representative later today to see what policies she has available. Senior Benefit Solutions, I guess I are one now.

Thanks!

I want a new hunting bolt gun

I'm looking for a new bolt gun in .308 for deer hunting out of blinds or deer stands in central Alabama with a max shot distance of about 300 yards.
Looking for an 18" -20" Barrel - Prefer a 1-10" rifling twist rate - not a drop dead "Must Have"
Muzzle Threads 5/8" -24 - I have suppressors to use on this rifle and have mounts
Synthetic Stock - adjustable comb height is a definite plus
I want something fairly nice - no Savage's and I'm hesitant for a Gen II Ruger American - the stock is ugly and the bolt sounds like zipper when you run it.
I want to be into the rifle less than about $ 1200.00
I'm a Tikka guy, but there is nothing in the US Catalog that jumped out at me with those specs and I didn't want to have a barrel turned and switch barrels around on the actions I have.
Grabbing a complete rifle is vastly more convenient and conserves time and ammo.
The Bergara Wilderness Sierra B14S801 seems to be tailor made to those specs + Standard Sling Studs & Fluted Barrel @ 7.4 Lbs.
The Bergara Wilderness Terrain B14S651 is almost the same as the Sierra, but is AICS Mag compatible and has a Mini Chassis Stock with Flush Cups and sling studs in the fore end @ 8.9 Lbs.
Both of these are within my budget, with the Wilderness Terrain about $ 120.00 more than the Sierra

Are there other rifles I should look at with these specs in this price range ?

Description

The HALO-LR

The HALO-LR by N-Vision Optics is one of the most advanced thermal scopes available on the market. The HALO-LR features a compact design that is lightweight and durable with a shock resistant body and IP67 waterproof rating. It provides a wide field of view and is well suited for nighttime medium to long range shooting.

Observe and Engage in Complete Darkness

Unlike night-vision that requires a small degree of light, the HALO-LR is completely thermal based, allowing the user to observe targets in complete darkness. It utilizes 4 polarity options: Black Hot, White Hot, White Edge Detect, and Black Edge Detect. Black Hot displays heat signatures as a black silhouette cast over a predominantly white backdrop, while White Hot shows a white silhouette cast over a predominantly black backdrop. Black and White Edge Detect casts either a black or white outline along the edges of heat signatures for a more defined image.

High-Tech Shooting

The core of the HALO-LR’s system is its 640x480, 12 micron sensor with a rapid 60Hz refresh rate. This highly advanced system is supported by a 1x/2x/4x/8x digital zoom function with a base magnification of 3.5x. The HALO-LR also come equipped with a Region of Interest Optimization function that enhances the clarity of your point of aim. This function is preset to your point of interest’s size of either ¼ or ½ of your screen. In addition, the HALO-LR is photo and video compatible, with photos being captured by enabling the photo function and quickly pressing and releasing the power button, with video being achieved via external DVR and analog video-out cable.

Features of the HALO-LR Thermal Scope:

  • Germanium coated optics

Night Vision PVS30 WP Tube

Looking to sell my PVS30. The tube went out, so I sent it to the master at Sure Shot Night Vision. Jay put a new white phosphorus tube in it and coated it green. I ended up buying a house and since I don't have time to use this I'd rather not have it just sitting around. Since I got it back from Jay I've probably put less than one hour on the tube just looking out into the yard.

Asking $12,000 shipped and insured through USPS. I can ship via fedex if requested. (UPS is just way closer).

Payment via PayPal, Venmo, USPS MO, or personal check (will wait for it to clear the bank before shipping).

If interested I will gladly talk to you via phone or video call of some sort.

You can email me for more pictures and to ask any questions.

I don't use this site very much, but I do have good positive feedback on ar15.com if you want to check that out https://www.ar15.com/member/user.html?id=360294

5.56 accuracy

I have a psa with an 18” 1:7 ba barrel. I would like to make it shoot tighter with off the shelf ammo. If I got a 20” 1:8 would it be more forgiving with different types of ammo. It does ok with heavier stuff but is not consistently as accurate as some of my other rifles. It has a decent trigger and fits the lower tight. It’s pictured with my 20” 22-250 that shoots great
