Firearms Staccato C2 w/ extras

I have a Staccato C2 with full kit that I'd like to sell. It came direct sale from Staccato. I carried it quite a bit, but probably only put 300 or so rounds through it. It features the DLC'd barrel and the DPO optics platform.

Comes with 6 16rnd mags, TLR7a light, four holsters, the original Staccato bag and accoutrements, and a DPO plate for an RMRcc

$1850 shipped to your FFL.

I will need to confirm that your FFL will accept shipment from an individual

Will NF design a wide angle lens?

I keep wondering why tangent theta, Nightforce and zco are falling behind in the FOV department and no advertising or teasing that they have something in the works...
I'd be super interested in that zco 8-40 if it could have the super large fov like kahles, S&B or March.
also I wonder how much the extra FOV actually is on 25 power which is where I shoot a lot.

Learn from my brain fart…

If you’re in the market for a LB 1911, whelp 1911 Heaven’s website is a pretty good bet. I reached out to them the other week and still haven’t seen a response.

I checked their website and guess what was outlined in bold… no phone number/no response.

Guess what’s the one thing I didn’t include in my email? I feel like such the dumbass but I’ve since corrected my previous email. Now we’ll wait for a quote after following the clearly stated directions, ugh. Just don’t be me.

Why are all scope reticles black?

Does any scope manufacture make a white reticle? If not, why not? I get that many scopes have the ability to turn the reticle to green or red, but why not just a plain white crosshair reticle. Educate me. I shoot BPCR silhouette and my reticle blends into the silhouette and leaves me with no point of hold. I need a white reticle for ref on the black silhouettes.

Just some pretty pictures!!

Thanks to RTH1800 I got the right Unertl bases and finally had some time to fit the scope!

Bore sighted it at about 200 and hopefully will fire this week to dial in.

It’s a .220 Swift. So not a big caliber. But barrel is like new. And pretty sure it will shoot bugholes with a bit of dialing in Some handloads.

Got to find a way to display this with my ‘52.

They are like peas and carrots!!!!

Not many off the rack rifles more beautiful than a Pre-64 Model 70!! This example from 1951 and pretty minty. Mostly just rack wear.

Cheers and thanks again RTH!

Firearms SCAMMER alert. MOzak

A fellow with the user name Sparky1985 is selling some dasher does and I responded on his thread. I got a response from an apparent Scammer, (user name MOzak) who had zero history and joined only weeks ago. I just thought I’d missed noticing the zero feedback for the seller so I didn’t send funds.
As it turns out the actual seller Sparky1985 touched base to let me die was still available. Thats when I noticed he has actual history and the whole deal clicked.
Mozak has been reported and 5e moderators can sort him out.
Keep you eyes on who you’re working with!!
Cheers,
Layne Zuelke

223 Rem and other 224 Cal Variations

Hi All,
I started to load and shoot .223 Remington groups for accuracy. My build is a Zermatt TL3 action with a 26" Shilen select match barrel mounted on an MDT ACC Premier Chassis. My barrel twist is 1:9, I want to order another barrel with a 1:8 twist to use with heavier bullets.
Looking through the choices, I see all these other options in .224 Caliber:
  • 224 Valkyrie
  • 22 ARC
  • 223 Rem
  • 223 Rem Match
  • 223 Wylde
  • 223 A.I.
  • 22-250
  • 22-250 A.I.
  • 22 Creedmoor
  • 220 Swift
  • I want to shoot groups for accuracy from 100 to 600 yards. What is my best chambering for .224 bullets, should I simply stay with 223 Remington or also consider other chamberings? I would love to find a comparison article that analyses the options available today.
  • Please give me any input I should consider before moving forward. Thanks

Real inflation - it's a lot higher than you might think!

I did some research on this, before I found this video, and this lines up exactly with 40% of our M2 money supply being pumped into the economy, mostly thanks to Kamala's tie-breaking vote.

By the end of 2020, M2 had increased by 25% over pre-pandemic levels. By 2021, it was nearly 40% higher. So that 40% figure matches M2 growth pretty well.

People will argue that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 2019 to mid-2023 shows a cumulative inflation rate of around 20-25%, depending on the source. But if you look at the true cost of living, it's actually just over 40%.

The really bad news is we're triple fucked: not only have prices gone up, but we're taxed based on inflation while wages remain stagnant.

And the fact that these liberal white women working for tips don’t actually care that Trump wants to make their tips tax-free— actually blows my mind: they just want abortions, which is ridiculous because it's a states' rights issue. Trump has never really taken a strong stance in the anti-abortion fight and has even declined to endorse a full ban.

And honestly, when you think about it, a billionaire playboy should be in favor of it—but I’ll never accuse liberal white women of thinking.

Sidearms & Scatterguns There can only be one.

I know what I’m going to do but might as well solicit some reactions.

Planning on putting together an ammo can of the magazines that would be the “go to”.

Trying to decide what would be the pistol.

One of these is just pure love and vanity.

One is pure love but a viable candidate for the backup to a rifle and I know I have a holster to accept it with a light.

The other two offer round count advantage both have light capability. Unsure if I have holsters to accommodate a light, pretty certain for at least one. I’m way more familiar with the sight system and presentation of one over the other.

All have an appropriate number of rounds through them and in use have been equally reliable. I trust each as equals for reliability.

Which one?

Could It Be A Slower Tikka Barrel?

It’s my understanding that Tikka barrels generally shoot slower than others. If that’s true, could that at least be a contributing factor to having to put in more elevation than what’s called for in ballistic calibration for a given factory round? I’m fully aware that mv variability can play a role as well. During my “ get acquainted “ period with my 6.5 Creed Super Varmint I’ve had to dial in some elevation over and above that called for in the calculator. Once doped correctly, though, the gun is VERY accurate at 500 yards. Just wish our range was longer.
