Proof prefit headspace issue?

So I just spun on a 6 dasher prefit from Proof onto a Lone Peak Fuzion. The go gauge passes, but the no go closes with zero resistance. Everything is new, clean, and the bolt fully disassembled. Gauges are from Manson and the barrel was torqued on at 80 ft/lbs as recommended by the guys at Lone Peak. First time I've had a barrel close on a no go, but I have heard that it isn't the end of the world so long as it doesn't close on a field gauge. Any truth to this? I don't have a field gauge, but tried the tape method on the no go to add .002" and it would not close. Anyone have dimensions for a 6 dasher field gauge?

I figure the most realistic issue is that it would work the brass a little more than a tighter chamber, but any concern of faster case head separation? Any other problems you guys can think of that I'm missing?

Thanks

Help me decide on a new hunting rifle.

Tired of lugging my heavy ass ar around during deer season. Decided ima pick up one of the Ruger American ranch gen 2.

They all have 16” barrels but I’m stuck on what caliber to go with.

Do I go 6mm arc or 6.5 Grendel

Or neither and opt for 308.

I’m throwing a sandman s on it and would be using it for pigs, yotes and whitetail.

Suggestions and roasting all is welcome and appreciated.

Any Ford Mechanics? - 2010 Mustang GT

Looking for some help on a 2010 Ford Mustang GT.

I'm having an issue with its idle and throttle control. Check engine light is on. Car idles around 700-800 RPMs, and has (until just recently - will explain below) an unresponsive throttle. RPMs wont go above 1100-1200 even if I mash the gas peddle.

I was looking around on other forums about idle/throttle issues, and found a thread from years ago where someone suggested to someone with a similar issue to do this:

Tune would help with throttle response.
also give this a shot

1. Turn on car without starting the engine
2. Wait till most the dash lights go out (seems like two remain on)
3. Step on the gas pedal in one smooth and steady motion
4. Once gas pedal hits the bottom, let go
5. Turn off car and wait 4-5 seconds
6. Turn engine on
7. Drive

Repeat 1-6 if it doesn't work the first time.

I did that, and lo and behold, the throttle is now responsive and idles around the 1k mark. I have no idea what that combination did, I understand the throttle on this car is electronic, so I'm assuming something was reset? It still has a check engine light on though.

The car was just recently at the mechanics to change out the front lower control arms and struts. I'm not sure if something could've gotten knocked loose or damage during that?

What would cause this issue?

So Biden is suddenly 6'6" and no one notices?

Since his episode in Las Vegas, he is now a giant who has not ushered a word in public. He either stroked out and is drooling over in the corner or he died and they seem to believe no one will notice. There has to be 100 people working at the White House, plus the entire media camped out there, main stream & conservative . Are we as a country that retarded and complacent?

Brit commie cabinet members advocating full lockdown

So apparently, because the Brits are not happy that worthless immigrants are stabbing their little kids at Taylor Swift events the new communist Prime Minister wants to instigate full Covid level lockdowns on the whole country to stop evil right wingers.

Sounds to me like England needs to go completely Lexington Concord 1775 and deal with this Commie shit.

Best Online Suppressor Shops? Capitol Armory, Silencer Shop, Central etc.

Looking to pick up my first can (rimfire). Some of the local shops want to charge $100 for a transfer and looking online it seems like there's some decent options from places like Capitol Armory, Silencer Shop, Silencer Central etc. Any cons to just ordering from one of them online? Any shop preferences or things I should have in mind?

Also, any good reason not to dump it into a trust while I'm at it?

What the heck is going on here?

What the heck is going on here?
I am experiencing this phenomena with my new .223 Wylde AR-15 build, but also to an extent with my other two AR’s. Shown below are five 5-shot groups shot today at 100 yards. (Ammo used includes 69gr. and 77gr. SMK handloads, shot from a bench with a bipod and a rear bag through a 30X scope.) What I am seeing, virtually every time, is that the first shot from a magazine, where the first round is fed by closing the bolt, has a point of impact about a full inch higher than the next four shots which are fed by bolt cycling upon firing, which form a nice group ~1” below the initial shot. The first three targets show this. The next two targets were shot by holding an aiming point an inch below the center of the target for the first shot, then holding on center for the next four shots.

This is not a case of cold bore POI change as the rifle these groups are shot when the rifle is fully “warmed-up”. It also has nothing to do with my hold – I’m an experienced enough shooter to know my rifle holds are pretty much equivalent on all shots. It seems to be something to do with how the round is seated(???): start of a mag from the open bolt position vs. bolt cycling by firing.

Two questions.
1) What is causing this?
2) How can this be eliminated?

I am wondering if over or under gassing can cause this? As I use a brass catcher to catch my cases I can’t really say what clock direction the cases would go without the gas catcher. Note that these are NOT hot loads. Any insight into this would be appreciated.

If you got a new Remington 700 SPS Tactical what would your first changes be?

I'm going this week to pick up a Remington 700 ADL. I absolutely cannot itch this nostalgic Remington 700 itch and I need one in my life, as terrible as a new one might be.

With that being said if you got a new one is there anything that you would do to it to improve it? I was planning on buying this with full intentions to modify it a good bit because I can't leave anything alone.
