Selling my AXSR and assorted goodies. Why you ask? I've gotten this out of the safe twice in the last year with my new work schedule, and a cross country move might very well be in the cards in the next 4-6 months. Money and a house to live in are cooler than a rifle I don't shoot.

  2. -.308 bolt body

  7. -(3x) M30 barrel off bore guides, 6.5, 30 and 338 cal (these are the shit)
  8. -(2x) M30 tenon thread protectors (the ones that will fit in TAB barrel sleeves)
  9. -(2x) Sawtooth Rifles Dependabilt sidetrak keyslot weight sets (4 weights total)

-Pricing-

I'm going to make the rifle with the 6.5 barrel the cheapest option since it's about 80% toast.
None of these prices include the scope, or any other accessories not listed above.
Optic is a ZCO ZC527 NLE with an MPCT 3x reticle, sitting in a Spuhr 6602 mount.
If you want to make this a package deal talk to me, otherwise, scope will be posted for sale once the gun is gone.

Rifle with all accessories (items 1-9) and 6.5 creed barrel (item 12) - $8500$8000 shipped

Rifle with all accessories (items 1-9) and 25 creed or .308 barrel (item 10 or 11) - $9000$8500 shipped

Rifle with all accessories (items 1-9) and all 3 barrels (items 10-12) - $9500$9000 shipped

-Footnotes-

-I'm not parting out or selling barrels piecemeal until the gun is gone. Period.
-No I won't sell you my .308 bolt body for a bag of hot cheetos and a dumpster quickie.
-I have brass, bullets, and load data for all of the above barrels. Git at me if you are interested in any of that stuff at time of sale. Not selling separate.
-Yes, the cerakote has wear marks and scratches. It is not perfect.
@BurtG if you ask me to sell this to you for 1500 bucks I'm gonna burn your house down.

PM me with any questions, and please be patient with response times. Thanks!

Best way to repair cracked plastic gas tank on boat.

I know..... this is pretty far of topic for SH but I cant seem to find a good workable answer for this.

The tank on my pontoon boat has some surface cracks. While it does not seem to be taking on any water one of the grandkids thought that filling it was like a car and, as a result, there is a small crack where the filler neck joins the tank. I still dont think it really leaks but I dont want to be out in the middle of the lake and have a problem. I have tried to get a replacement but the manufacturer said "we dont supply parts to anything 10 years old and older. I have looked at replacement tanks but none are a drop in fit. Even if I find one close I am going to have to pull the engine and drop the protective aluminum shroud to get to it. Seems like a repair would be better if thats possible.

Marine Tec (sp?) was recommended on one boat forum so I spent $60 and that just peeled off. Another recommendation was to get a solder iron and basically plastic weld that but I passed on that option. I was also told to smear that stuff you see advertised on TV but I dont know if that would really stick to the plastic.

So......I am back here at SH asking for some real world advice. Any guidance is appreciated.

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR III vs Burris XTR Pro vs NX8 4-32...or

Need a couple of HPVO's.

Read everything on here and still waffling. I've reached decision paralysis.

I have an NX8. It's a great scope. But that's my only frame of reference. Never looked through any of the others.

I understand all the differences between XTR III and Pro.

One of them will be for a Rimfire application. It's not a nice rimfire trainer. Just a Savage Mark II FVSR in a Boyds AT-ONE stock.

I'm even considering that Bushnell Match Pro ED for the Savage. BUT I've pretty much sworn off budget scopes. I'm not at the "price is not a consideration" point because I'm still cheap at heart, but I make it a point not to skimp on glass any more. That being said, there is still something inside of me that has a hard time putting a $1000-2000 optic on a $200 gun. Even though I know why you should.

So, do I just throw the Bushnell on top and be done with it? When I get a nicer rimfire I can get a nice scope (probably won't get rid of the Savage). OR do I get a XTR III for a couple bucks more? OR do I spend a few hundred more than that and get an XTR Pro or NX8 knowing it may go on much nicer Rimfire at some point?

Other two optics will be going on .223's. One a complete custom 26" built PRS style rig (will also be used to murder prairie dogs) and the other a custom 26" Rem 700 varmint / fun gun. Handled for everything.

That being said I can get additional NX8's in the sub $2000 price range, so the XTR pro and NX8 are very close in price point. Between those two I don't necessarily think the NX8 is better. From reading everything on here it appears that the XTR Pro may even be better glass in some aspects.

I was originally going to put an ATACR 7-35 on the custom rig (and still may), but I can be talked into the XTR PRO for that gun. Not really considering the XTR III or NX8 for the this rifle, but again if that's a more reasonable route I'm open to it.

The custom Rem 700 is slated to become a 300 Blackout down the road at some point. I was going to do it right away, but now I think I'll just shoot it out and then swap it. Thoughts on the three optics listed initially?

I always say I'm not building / buying any ore guns, but we know how that goes. I just broke every AR I own down, and 6 AR's turned into 15 different during the rebuild project. SO, I have no issue with playing scope shuffle and like to buy for the long run with the intent of buying the right optic and moving it around down the road if need be.

Appreciate your time.

SOLD Tikka T3 Tactical Rifle .223 in Manners MCS-T4A Carbon Fiber Elite Stock

This is a Tikka T3 Tactical Rifle (Model JRTM112 - 20" barrel) in a Manners T4A Carbon Fiber Stock chambered in .223 Remington (you cannot shoot 5.56 through this rifle . . . it is a match .223 chamber and 5.56 rounds will not chamber). I only got as far as through load development (80gr SMKs with Varget) with this and never shot it after that. The stock is of course custom, but I also specified a longer bolt-run channel so the bolt could be removed easily, even with the cheek riser elevated.

It has a Badger (I'm 85% it's Badger) bottom pic rail to mount a bipod.

I once called Manners and asked them if they could convert this to accept a 6.5, 6mm or other short action Tikka and they said they absolutely could, but once it was converted, it could not go back to .223.

Disclosure: When I first got it, I attempted to swap out the Tikka top pic rail for a NF 20MOA. If you are familiar with Tikkas, you know they use some extreme high-strength bond in their rail screws. Accordingly, I got as far as stripping out one of the rail screws and gave up on the idea. The upside is that the rail has never been remove, ha.

As shown, it is configured with the above-mentioned Badger rail, a Thunderbeast CB Muzzle Brake, and a Timney trigger.

Pricing:

1) Barreled action plus stock and Bottom Metal, one MDT magazine, stock trigger, Badger Rail, FACTORY(not Timney) trigger and no muzzle device (thread protector will be provided): $1600 shipped CONUS to your FFL.

2) Barreled action plus stock and Bottom Metal, one MDT magazine, stock trigger, Badger Rail, FACTORY(not Timney) trigger and TBAC muzzle Device: $1675 $1575

3) Barreled action plus stock and Bottom Metal, one MDT magazine, stock trigger, Badger Rail, Timney trigger and no muzzle device (thread protector will be provided): $1775 $1675

4) Barreled action plus stock and Bottom Metal, one MDT magazine, stock trigger, Badger Rail, Timney trigger and TBAC muzzle Device: $1850 $1750

5) I have a total of 5 magazines. Only one has been used - the others are still in the bubble wrap (they were purchased from Mile High). Each additional mag will be $30.

6) The Optic is a Bushnell Elite. I plan on keeping it, but will make it available to the buyer for $800. I tall target tested it and it tracks well (I will post the results).

NO TRADES, THANK YOU.

Biden poll

Biden polling near Trump

What a sad commentary on the stupidity of our voters.

I used to think Dem politicians were idiots. I now realize that they are genius. They know exactly how to manipulate their incredibly gullible and stupid voters.

0-500 yard optic?

Hello all. So I have a wonderful wife who just put my name in the hat for a precision tactical carbine course. The course states that we'll be engaging targets from 0-500 yards. I was wondering what all your thoughts are for this course? I have 3 options on hand: 1-8 vortex lpvo, 5x vortex prism scope with a mrds piggy back, and a full size red dot with either a 3x or 6x magnifier. Oh! And the tool being used is a 16" armalite m15
