Trijicon RCR, light use. Was painted and stripped, I really see no remnants of paint. Happy to send as many photos as needed. Fully functioning, nice dot, just overkill for what I bought it for. Full disclosure, one of the capstan screws cracked between two of the holes upon removal of the optic. I bought this rifle not long ago off this forum from the original owner. I was going to keep the barreled action and sell the stock as I have another stock that is a more traditional hunting stock. Decided to sell it complete as i have a new GA Precision 6.5 SAUM built by them and do not want to invest in another caliber and all that goes along with it.

From the previous ad the fellow had this built and he, his father and brother shot the rifle when new and put 30 rounds down the pipe. Rifle had been put away for some time and he ended up sending it out to the fellow who does all of Noveske cerakote work and had him cerakote the entire rifle in the pattern shown in the pictures. It has never been shot after that or by me. Still 30 rounds fired through rifle. Here is a breakdown on the rifle.

College grads venturing out into the corporate world should, by now, know the ins and outs of the job interview process.

Dress smart. Project confidence. Know how to answer that boilerplate question, “What’s your biggest flaw?” Don’t bring your parents along.

Wait, what? Come again? Yes, it seems the safe-space generation apparently needs mommy and/or daddy to show up as they try to land their dream job.

According to a survey by Resume Templates, 26 percent of those ages 18 to 27 brought along a parent to a job interview — and that’s just the beginning of the disturbing findings from the survey, conducted in April among 1,428 U.S.-based respondents who said they had searched for a job in the last year.

“Gen Z has a reputation for lacking the independence, motivation, and real-world knowledge to contribute in the workplace,” the employment resource provider said in a media release.

That’s putting it mildly.

“Many Gen Z’ers involve their parents in their interview process. In fact, 26 percent of all Gen Zers who have undergone a job search in the past year say that they have taken a parent to an interview,” the media release read.

“Of Gen Z’ers who brought their parent(s), 31 percent had a parent accompany them to an in-person interview, while 29 percent had them join a virtual interview.

“For those who had a parent come to an in-person interview, 37 percent say that their parent accompanied them to the office, 26 percent say their parent physically sat in the interview room, and 18 percent say their parent introduced themselves to the manager. Additionally, 7 percent say their parents answered questions.”

Of those Gen Z’ers who attended virtual interviews, 71 percent said that the parent was off-camera and 29 percent of parents joined Zoom interviews with their children.

Another 24 percent of Gen Z respondents said their parents submitted job applications for them and 18 percent said their parents wrote their resume from scratch for them. (Only 13 percent wrote the cover letter from scratch, thank heavens.)

“The top reasons Gen Z’ers ask their parents to complete and submit their applications include thinking their parents’ work is better (46 percent), not knowing how to communicate with hiring managers (34 percent), being unmotivated (32 percent), and poor mental health (22 percent),” the media release read.

“The number of employment opportunities and complexity of the job market are factors causing Gen Z’ers to seek parental help,” said Andrew Stoner, an executive resume writer for the firm.

“Knowing what a company does, verifying its legitimacy, and understanding what a specific job entails are tasks that can be challenging for someone without any formal work experience. A parent’s help should bolster a child’s development and eventual independence.”

“While a parent writing a resume or cover letter isn’t necessarily an ethical concern, a child should be ready to fully discuss every aspect of their resume with a potential employer,” he added.

“Broadly speaking, Gen Z can become more independent through a healthy partnership; one that is led by a willing parent and develops critical life skills.”

Now, a caveat — while Resume Templates does a great deal of market research into trends in the employment market, it’s also in the business of selling resume services. Furthermore, this appears to be more of an informal survey than a rigorous poll.

That being said, do you know what the number of 18- to 27-year-old job seekers bringing parents to job interviews should be? Zero. Zilch. Nada. No matter how informal the poll, there shouldn’t be a. single. person. who. admits. to. this.

If you have some degree of schooling, you should not need your mom or dad to write your resume. You do not need them to write your cover letter. And you certainly do not need them to sit in an interview with you like you just got caught flushing a cherry bomb down the toilet at your middle school.

Between helicopter parenting, safe-space culture, digital lives replacing life skills, and our culture’s collective tendency to treat maturity and self-reliance as a millstone around one’s neck, it appears we’ve finally raised a generation completely unable to function as autonomous adults.

This isn’t just one of those “kids today!” rants we’ve heard from time immemorial. This time, we’ve really done it. And you don’t need this survey to back this assertion up. Look around you. It takes a village, they say — and our village has raised a generation that knows how to use 86 different Instagram filters but doesn’t know the difference between a man and a woman.

There isn’t a single person on God’s green Earth who should openly admit to bringing a parent along to a job interview. Period. It doesn’t matter if you think their worth is better, they know how to communicate with hiring managers, or your fragile mental health means you just aren’t up to it.

If these are the men and women who will inherit our positions in American enterprise as we move up the corporate ladder — and eventually, one day, take over — we’re thoroughly doomed.

First, by either raising their kids wanting to be their best friend instead of a real parent or by raising their kid to be a weak, mindless individual. What kind of parent would go to their kids job interview...the kind that is just fucking wierd to begin with!

Hey guys, I just finished my first 6 ARC build and I've noticed my barrel is not centered inside the handguard. You can see in the picture that it's leaning noticeably to the viewer's left/shooter's right. Is this normal/something that sorts itself out with optic zeroing? Am I being overly nitpicky? Could I fix it by lapping/"truing" the upper receiver?

Use case: planning to shoot PRS with this build

Parts I think might be relevant to the issue:

• Geissele Super Duty upper receiver
• Geissele MK18 handguard

...From the sun that is. For those of us that are blessed with extra strength livers but lacking in the melanin protection leaving us to burn like vampires under the sun rather than tan (put another way, those of us that are of Irish heritage)- a proper hat is important.

Luckily for you- I've spent more on hats for such occasion over the years than many of the folks here have in their most prized scopes. So pull up a chair and let's talk. When it comes to a proper summer hat, you're looking for fabric, breathability, and coverage. Plenty of styles out there but if you take sun protection seriously, you may need to put your personal style on the side. If you're tough enough to not worry about sun damage, just as a PSA- they quite literally have to cut out a portion of your skin for the biopsy and sew it back together. And that's just where the fun begins.

So as for the better options I've come across- if you don't mine looking like a dork, one of the best options I've run across for the money is one of the Sunday Afternoon's Adventure hats. They incorporate a semi-rigid brim in the front and a cape in the back. They're relatively inexpensive, are lightweight, and breath quite well. They also have a boonie style hat with similar breathability/fabric but less coverage.

One of the more popular brands is Tilley- they're expensive and I've got a few of them and if that's more to your liking, think of them as a 'fancier' boonie, between the LTM5 and LTM6 models you get to choose your brim size. The 'Airflo' design works pretty well but it's important to size the hat properly (it should be slightly loose and they seem to run small in their hat sizing for what it's worth) but the nylon fabric the LTM5 & LTM6 come in doesn't breathe as well and while durable inhibits the Airflo venting somewhat if performing physical activity. If that's your intention and you're still digging the Tilley style- I'd recommend looking at their Airflo models made out of Organic Cotten for extra breathability. The LTM5 Organic is comparable to the standard LTM5 but if you want the bigger brim of the LTM6 with organic cotton fabric- check out what they call the hiker's hat, the brim should be comparable to the LTM6. It also has a 'cooling pad' in the crown- that can be tossed or used (haven't had a chance to fully explore how effective that may be).

Last option that I've had good luck with (and is a bit less traditional) is the Shelta hat line. They're what I'd consider, mid priced but what makes them a bit unique is in the front brim, they have a rigid insert that keeps the front structured while the remaining 2/3's or so of the brim is more traditional. I have the firebird & condor models which the only difference is basically the crown of the hat- but both are part of their 'wide brim' models because, again the sun hurts me. Otherwise- I've been pretty happy with them for the money as well.

So to wrap things up- in my experience, avoid the ball caps- prioritize fabric, breathability, and coverage & if it isn't rated for UPF 50+ it's not worth your time or money and move onto to some other brand/model.
