So my 6.5CM has about 1800 rounds through it and the velocity has been decreasing lately. Same brass/primer/powder.

With the Hornady 140 ELDM the CBTO was 2.258 and I was seating .020 off, or 2.238. It’s been a very accurate load. Today I measured and the CBTO was 2.293 or .035 difference (erosion). I’m going to load some rounds and reseat to .020 off and probably add a couple 10ths to get the velocity back.

Question: is .035 a lot or a little?
Also, does seating depth or jump affect velocity? From what I read so say yes some say no.

I have three specific questions about Florida gun law.

1. I read that there is no CCW permit anymore, that it's a right to carry state. Is this true? I know that certain counties/municipalities may require a permit.

2. I'm getting conflicting info on private gun sales. One source state you needed a permit to purchase a gun and another source stated that face to face private sales were permitted with some caveats, specifically that you're not selling to a known person who may not own a gun.

3. That after the Parkland shooting, they raised the age of purchase to 21 for all guns, pistols and long guns?

For the long range enthusiast that also has a taste for the "classical" style... I have a Pedersoli Sharps 45-70 Long Range rifle for sale. This rifle was built in 2005 and sold to my Dad in 2009-2010. He was the original owner and only shot hand loaded black powder rounds through it. The round count is approximately 200 since he also loved to shoot his .308's. The barrel is octagonal in shape. It has the target sites on it and also comes with the 4" Pedersoli Creedmore rear site. You can see in the pictures that there are an assortment of front site attachments as well. I am going to include the reloading equipment seen in this post.

I have an email from Pedersoli stating the approximate build time and that modern smokeless ammunition can be fired through the rifle as well. I have a heavy box full of led bullets and brass to go with this rifle and will be sent separate from the rifle. I am willing to ship anywhere in the continental US.

Price: $2200 for everything since I am not piecing this out.

Just wondering how do we reset a scopes turrets. I own a Steiner M8Xi 1-8 scope, and I zeroed this optic on my rifle, and I also set the zero stop back to 0 so I can only dial up in mils, setting the zero stop is merely loosening two hex screws on the turret, and rotating the turret back to 0, then re-tightening the hex screws on the turret. However, once this is done you cannot rotate the turret down, or you cannot lower the reticle. You can only go up in turret elevation mil clicks. So, I’m wondering how would one go about resetting a scopes turrets and reticle to the factory defaults if mounting the glass to another weapon, so the reticle can be perfectly centered.

I have not been able to find much information on this. And I’m wondering how can the zero stop even be removed or restored back to default settings? Do I loosen the hex screws, dial the turret back up to factory defaults and tighten them again?

I bought this from a fellow that bought it new with 200 rounds on it. I have not shot the rifle. The stock is very clean with no chips or scratches. It has a couple small impressions when you move the stock around in the light. The blueing on the barreled action is also very nice with a couple small marks in the bluing. It will also come withe the rings and bases that came with it. It is a very clean rifle. Believe I was told these have a 14 twist and a 26 inch barrel. The bad is I decided to remove the rings and put a pic rail on it. All the screws came out pretty easy but 1 of them had the head come off. So part of the screw is still above the receiver and I took a pick and tapped the edge of it to see if I could move it around. Yes it did happen, it slipped off and put a mark near the screw in the receiver shown in a picture. After I did that it went straight in the safe as I was ticked off. Decided to sell it off as I have a couple 223 AR rifles. The trigger is very nice on it and I took it out of the stock 1 time to clean it and it had a nice bedding job done to it.
