Lee Collet Neck Die.

Does anyone know of anyplace that can make a new collet for the Lee collet neck sizing die. I'm sure it would be easy enough for someone with the machine tools to do it, I don't really have anything local so I'm asking here. I'm sure I'm not the only one (maybe I am!) that hates the new style collet Lee uses that doesn't size the whole neck. It leaves the case mouth unsized and even after the bullet is seated it is still flared on the very end. I don't "neck size" but use it sometimes when it's needed, like when you don't get a complete fire form, or to fix a neck when needed. Many uses for the reloader besides strictly neck sizeing alone. I try to have one for every chamberfing I load for. Thanks for any help!

RL16 vs H4350 at today's prices... What would you buy?

Can’t make up my mind and figured I’d ask here.

Years ago I switched my 6.5CM, 6 Dasher, and 22BR from H4350 to RL16, and now I’m also running a 22GT with RL16. When I first tested RL16 vs H4350 I found faster velocities, temp sensitivity was better, groups were as good or better than H4350… but it wasn’t a free lunch as RL16 is dirtier than H4350 and required more frequent cleaning.

I’m getting a bit low on RL16 and it’s time to restock since several dealers have 8# jugs and there are some free shipping and hazmat deals today. However, in the last 9 months Alliant pricing has gone insane and an 8# jug of RL16 is now $100ish more than a jug of H4350.

If you were restocking today, would you pay the rather hefty price premium to stick with RL16 which you already have loads worked up for and you know works, or would you save some money and give up a little bit of performance and switch back to H4350 and redevelop all your current RL16 loads? I know H4350 will work very well in every load I currently use RL16 in as well as require less cleaning, I’ll just lose a bit of velocity and pick up some additional temp sensitivity.

For the same price as 40# of RL16 I can buy 48# H4350, that’s not insignificant…

Borescope diagnosing

Hello, here is what the bore looks like after non-abrasive cleaning or brush use. It is a 6mm BR with moderate loads and a custom, hand-lapped stainless steel barrel .900" at the muzzle and 26" long. I broke the barrel in with the 1 shot, clean, 2 shot, clean, etc. and clean it with Wipe Out or Boretech eliminator every 30-35 rounds. The first picture is just where the lands start (no carbon ring noted), the 2nd is about 13-14" mark and the last about the 20" mark. I'm assuming this is carbon fouling. If it is, I may try CLR as the other two failed. Thanks,

SOLD Curtis Scout action - 223bf

As new. Never fired but cycled rounds thru tuning the magazine.

From Curtis website:
Headspace is within .001. It takes the same barrel tenon as Axiom and Axiom Hybrid. Shares the same ejection port as the Valor.

I had a qc valor barrel torqued on, this can be done with a 0.300" recoil lug. I have the original recoil lug (dual pin) and the 0.300" lug. The pin holes on the recoil lug I bought from ptg dont line up with the action holes, I made up a rudimentary jig to hold as I torqued the action on.

Really nice action, if someone wants to trade their 308 bolt with my 223 bolt, I'd be open to that.

Hello,

My first topic here. I've always lurked but never had anything smart enough to add to conversation.

I am looking at getting a new optic for my 6.5 CM. I saw the threads for the new Leupold MK4HD and thought that it could be good for what I'm doing with the rifle. Now it seems like they aren't going to be readily available for a little while with exception of a few trickling in to places. My job gets me certain perks for optics from Leupold, Steiner and Vortex (along with a couple others). So I started pondering spending a little more money and moving up to a MK5 or a T6Xi from Steiner due to the possibility that it could be awhile before a MK4 was available. I'm looking at something in the 5-30 magnification range. This leaves me with the 5-25 from Leupold or the 5-30 from Steiner (Or the 6-24 in the MK4 if it came available)

The P6xi is roughly $500 more than the MK4, and the MK5 is roughly $200 more than the Steiner. Out of these three, what would you recommend and why? I'm leaning towards the T6Xi due to it being illuminated. My last trip out a shadow cast on the 400y target and I really wish I could have seen the reticle better. And the illuminated MK5 jumps the price up even more.

DEI Monsters Take Down 90-Year-Old Disability Volunteer for Not Understanding Pronouns!

I recently read about an animal known as the sea squirt, that eats its own brain as it progresses to the next stage.

It couldn’t be a better analogy for the DEI and woke mentality.

Here’s another story about the insane “theology” called Diversity, Equity and Inclusion that no one can live up to.

In January, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society forced 90-year-old Fran Itkoff to step down from her volunteer position. Itkoff had served the nonprofit organization for 60 years before being let go for allegedly violating the group’s diversity and inclusion policies.

Her vile anti-diversity act? She was confused about “pronouns.”

In an interview with “Libs of TikTok” creator Chaya Raichik, Itkoff and her daughter, Elle Hamilton, explained that Itkoff’s husband, who had MS, had taken over the Long Beach Lakewood chapter prior to his death.

After his death, Itkoff continued the group, volunteering for a total of 60 years.

Itkoff described an interaction with a representative from the MS Society where she was asked to use her “pronouns.”

Itkoff said she was confused because she didn’t know what that meant.

“I had seen it on a couple of letters that had come in after the person’s name, they had the pronouns. But I didn’t know what that meant,” the 90-year-old said.

When Itkoff was told she was required to write “she/her” after her name to be “all-inclusive,” she still couldn’t understand why.

“Because it sounds like you are labeling for females, not males, if you are just putting in she/her,” she said.

Her daughter, Elle Hamilton, explained that all her mother was trying to do was understand what they were talking about

Anyone who has an older family member and an ounce of compassion would understand that for someone of Itkoff’s generation, the expectation to declare one’s gender identity could be confusing.

But, it seems like the representative at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society had never met an older person or looked at life from another perspective before.

A few days later, Itkoff received an email stating she was being asked to step down from her volunteer role.
According to a screenshot of the email, Itkoff was asked to step down because it had come to their attention that “there has been a failure to abide by our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion guidelines during your time as volunteer.”

UNREAL. National MS Society (@mssociety) forced a 90-year-old volunteer to step down because she wasn’t “inclusive” enough after she asked what pronouns are.
Fran volunteered for 60 years and her late husband had MS.
The @mssociety still hasn’t said a word about this. Don’t… pic.twitter.com/OlXrT2kClQ

What happens now with the none tax stamp tax stamp for braced sbr?

Haven’t seen much on the subject - all the boot lickers that paid to play and got a none stamp stamp - is that none stamp still “valid”. Other than the above I haven’t heard much.
