This is truly terrifying

This could be used to start wars or change elections. They could use this to show Biden giving a coherent speech or Trump punching an aide. In the near future video “proof” won’t be reliable.

Massachusetts Dem Senator Ed Markey Pushes Bill That Could Prevent Churches From Using Armed Security

Ed-Markey-2022.jpg

Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) is pushing legislation that could prevent churches from protecting themselves with armed security. In the House, this was pushed by Democrat Hank Johnson, who famously suggested that Guam could tip over if too many people were there.

It doesn’t matter how bad crime gets, Democrats continue to push for Americans to be disarmed.

Just last week, there was a shooting at Lakewood Church in Texas.

So now, at a time when more churches are probably considering armed security, Democrats are pushing this. Unreal.

Breitbart News reports:

Senate Democrats Push Bill That Could Prevent Churches From Having Armed Security
Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) is pushing legislation that could prevent churches around the country from using a “security services unit” comprised of concealed carriers in congregations, parishes, etc.
The bill is the Preventing Private Military Act of 2024, and it is co-sponsored by Senator Laphonza Butler (D-CA).
The text of the bill prohibits “acting as part of or on behalf of a private paramilitary organization and armed with a firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or other dangerous weapon.”
In another portion of the bill, the text provides circumstances that qualify as an action that is prohibited and includes the use of “large capacity ammunition feeding devices,” which is leftist speak for magazines that hold more than ten rounds.

More from Protestia:

Senate Democrats Propose Bill That Would Criminalize Armed Church Security
A recent Lifeway survey of Protestant pastors shows that armed congregants protect more than 50% of protestant churches. While these security arrangements vary in their level of sophistication on a church-by-church basis, nearly the same number of pastors who report the use of armed congregants report that there is an intentional plan in place to prepare for threats posed by an active shooter. Though various state and local laws currently regulate and limit the use of concealed carry weapons by church security teams in various locale, a proposed federal law would criminalize the preparations made by many armed church security teams across the United States.
Sponsored in the U.S. Senate by Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) and cosponsored by Senator Laphonza Butler (D-CA), the Preventing Private Military Activity Act of 2024 widely defines a paramilitary group as any group of 3 or more persons who function under a command structure as a “security services unit.”

Democrats just keep chipping away at gun rights. They know they can’t overturn the Second Amendment – yet – so they just keep making it more difficult for people to own and use guns for protection.

New Rimfire Project 2500x/Mullerworks/BnA

I'm finally moving on from the RimX testing. 38 barrels and 25,000+ rounds tested is enough for me. We got some excellent barrel and ammo data on the RimX over the past few yeats and put the RimX through its paces since day 1.

The RimX exceeded my expectations in every way. With its revolutionary bolt design, making headspace not matter, it went against everything we knew about rimfires up until its release. Accuracy blew me away, shooting lot tested ammo @ 50yd into 50rd 0.1 agg and 100yd sub 0.5" 30rd agg.

My RimX is one of my favorite guns to shoot and it's not going anywhere. But I'm done testing barrels for it. Lots of great options out there to choose from. Manzella Precision is putting out some RimX tack drivers right now.

I'm now starting a new Rimfire project to see how much Accuracy and consistency I can pull out of 22lr. And how much more I can pull out compared to my best RimX results.

I picked up a brand new Holeshot 2500x from KSS and I'm putting together a full Rimfire BR rig.

I'm going to have 4 or 5 barrels done for it to test. To start, the first 2 in hand that are going out to be cut are a Mullerworks and Green Mountain. Green Mountains aren't used in the rimfire BR world, but I have a few in the shop so why not have one fitted and see how it compares to the MW, Shilens, and Benchmarks of the world. I'm waiting on a Shilen to arrive thats on order and will have an Ace on the way. I'll have those 2 done later on. Most are shooting 0.900 straight barrels in these setups, some shoot 1.2's but 900 are the norm.. I could only get these straights right now so maybe the next two will be 900's. We will see and test.

Holeshot 2500X
Bix N Andy Comp 2 Stage
Murphy Precision SS 20moa base
Mullerworks 1.2" 8 groove 1-13
Green Mountain 1.2" 6 Groove 1-16
22lr Match Eachus chamber
PWC Randy Owens High stock

Haven't made my mind up on what scope will live on it. I have a whole bunch of lots of Midas, CenterX, R50, RWS Special Match, SK+, and SK RM to test.

Stay tuned....

New Trimmer Advice

Currently: I am now using the LE Wilson trimmer followed up by the RCBS trim center to chamfer and debur. Works fine but just so slow.

Upgrade: Looking at possibly a Giraud or maybe just the Tri Way and a cheap bench grinder from Harbor Freight.

Not looking to shell out the money for the Hendo Gen 3 right now as I don’t think I reload quite enough to justify it.

I probably trim up batches of 200-250 at a time. Sometimes it’s just a quick run through a batch of 100 6BR cases.

Focusing on 6BR right now, but do load for 308, 243, 223 and sometimes Grendel.

Just looking for any advice to swing me one way or another. Been using current setup for a long time and ready to upgrade and be done with it. Not upgrade and wish I would’ve spent more. Buy once, cry once.

Thanks!

This tactic worked in the late 60's & 70's

No reason it will not work again, if they stick together. Same tactic also worked well against a so called to big to fail wireless carrier in early/mid 2K that went tits up because of its we own you attitude. They found out quickly what their contractors were made of & capable of, win pushed.

SOLD For Sale: Knight's AN/PVS-30 Refurb

I may end up regretting selling this but I have the itch for a new project.

Better than average Knights refurb with high FOM and Halo. I have only put about two hours of viewing on the tube looking at the stars and my farm at night. Great image quality but because Oregon doesn't allow nighttime hunting with NV and I have nowhere to shoot LR after dark, I never got around to shooting with it. There is a fine linear scratch on the objective lens coating (as shown in photo) unit came with it and does not affect the image at all. I put on some flat, Krylon but otherwise as received when I bought it. All markings/numbers are visible and were not painted over. For serious inquiries I am happy to mount it up and try to get some good through scope photos.

Can I get some input on my suppressor short list? 2024

First of all, sorry to ask such an over-asked question. I am ready to drop by the LGS and make a purchase. My LGS has every "can" except the 22 take-down, which I can order and ship to them.

May I ask those who actually own one or more of these suppressors comment only. Too many opinions just puts me into analysis paralysis.

May I also ask that we stick to this list only, yes I know you have Jane Fonda's 1967 Maglight suppressor and it works better than all other suppressors, its just not info I need.

Here is my list;

22 Take-down-- (I've read it hits blast baffle on 22-ar15's and the rear cap sticks on the barrel, some minor first round pop)

Mask-- ( Research shows they are a marketing co. not a manufacturer and have bad QC along with bad support, little to no FRP)

Occulus-- ( I've read comments it has some FRP, they don't answer the phone!!!)

Nyx Mod2-- ( K-baffles float around no marking, no alignment, POI shift?, open k-baffle design makes a mess of the tube and baffles get stuck, might have powder blasting on blast baffle over time??)

** Checkmate HD-- (Aluminum tube worries me, saw pictures of a blown apart checkmate HD and the tube split by the blast baffle, think this one is a NO-GO!)

The mask always comes up as one of the best and if they had a good reputation and actually made the suppressor and had good QC/support I would just buy it.

I do not see a lot of info on the Tbac -22, but they did answer the phone and answer all my questions. I don't like the fact that the rear cap gets stuck on the barrel. It seems like a well built "can". The Co. seems good as well. They answer the phone.

Nyx-mod 2 is a real unknown, also not much info out there. Seems hard to get apart when dirty and stack has no re-alignment marks or clicks. The open baffle to the tube seems like an "old" design.

The occulus looks great and is built like a tank. I would have preferred a one-piece design but it is a two and not sure if it really matters. Not much info on FRP for this "can".

Chicago Gang Member Misses Attempted Murder Court Date While Allegedly Attempting to Kill Someone Else

4:00

A Chicago man accused of stabbing a stranger on Christmas was released by a judge — then missed his court date for attempted murder while he was allegedly busy stabbing another random woman.
Allen Erenburg was set to be in court Wednesday after a grand jury charged him with seven felonies for the December 25 incident during which he allegedly knocked a man off his bicycle, “struck the man in the head with a hammer and stabbed him repeatedly with a knife,” CWBChicago reports.
Instead of going to court, the 44-year-old was back on the street stabbing a woman and threatening her boyfriend with a hammer, prosecutors say.
Erenburg was caught in the first place not after he allegedly attempted to kill the man on the bike, but five days after that attack when he was arrested in a separate incident in Roscoe Village, according to the outlet.
“A 49-year-old woman reported that she was sitting in her car in the 2300 block of West Belmont when a man started shouting at her, then pulled out a knife and slashed one of her tires,” the publication stated, citing a Chicago Police Department (CPD) report.
Erenburg then allegedly broke the woman’s rear window and fled, but CPD was able to find and arrest him just minutes later when the victim identified him as the perpetrator.
The man was charged with misdemeanor criminal damage to property, and Judge William Fahy released him the next day.
According to court records obtained by CWBChicago, the grand jury charged Erenburg with one count of attempted murder and six counts of aggravated battery on January 17, “but he was never arrested to face the charges and failed to show up for his arraignment on January 31.”
The outlet went on to detail the discombobulated events that led to Erenburg being free to allegedly commit more violent crimes:
The judge rescheduled the hearing for February 14 and instructed the clerk of court to send Erenburg a postcard with the new date.
There is conflicting information about which judge issued the postcard order, but their handwritten notes say Erenburg was never notified of the January 31 date because he was in custody for a misdemeanor when the indictment came down. We could not locate any court law enforcement records showing Erenburg was in custody at that time.
Erenburg didn’t show up for the rescheduled hearing, either.
Erenburg then allegedly committed a second holiday attack — this time around 11:00 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, two hours after he was set to be in court.
When a couple walked past him at a bus stop in the 2800 block of West Diversey, prosecutors allege that Erenburg took the 28-year-old man’s skateboard, prompting him to snatch it back.
Erenburg escalated the situation by allegedly pulling out a hammer and a knife, miming a stabbing action at the woman, 25, but, instead, cutting her purse.
The woman then threw a cup at the perpetrator, prompting him to stab her, prosecutors said in a detention petition obtained by CWBChicago.
“The blade entered her chest and punctured her right lung,” the outlet reported. “Both victims ran to a gas station and called 911.”
CPD officers said they stopped Erenburg nearby, finding “several knives” in his possession. Investigators later found surveillance footage showing Erenburg disposing of a hammer in a trash can, prompting a search that recovered the hammer, as well as three more knives, from the bin.
The arrest report stated that Erenburg is affiliated with the Insane Deuces street gang.
Prosecutors then hit him with attempted first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, attempted robbery, and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
Finally detained at the state’s request, Erenburg was taken to court Friday to face the December attempted murder case as well.

Muzzle Brakes poor form at the range?

So I was at an outdoor range today zeroing a new scope... I have a 7RM 26" heavy barrel with an APA Little Bastard brake on it. The people on either side of me got quite upset and some guy's wife said "WHAT IS THAT???" in that super bitchy tone of voice. They complained to the RSO and asked if I was allowed to do that. Normally, I do try to sit on either end of the firing line, but being the weekend, the range was pretty full and that wasn't an option.

I generally try to be courteous when possible, but that lady almost made me say what I was actually thinking.

At any rate, the RSO told her she probably needs better earplugs and moved the people on either side of me somewhere else.

Is there an etiquette to this? I was just sighting in a new scope for god's sake (and a few rounds for load development).

Police: Pennsylvania Judge Shoots Ex-Boyfriend in Head, Shot Ex-Husband 5 Years Earlier

Sonya M. McKnight

A Pennsylvania judge is accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend in the head while he slept — just a few years after being cleared of criminal intent for shooting her ex-husband.
Michael McCoy, 54, is now blind in one eye after being shot in his Harrisburg-area home on February 9, reports the New York Post.
Dauphin County Magisterial District Judge Sonya M. McKnight, 57, was arrested Thursday and has been charged with first-degree attempted murder and aggravated assault, court records show.
A Susquehanna Township Police arrest affidavit obtained by the outlet stated that McCoy had made “numerous” attempts to end the year-long relationship with his live-in girlfriend when she allegedly tried to kill him.
“McCoy had returned home from a tavern to find McKnight relaxing on his couch in her pajamas and again told her she needed to leave, saying he would enlist the help of her mother to get her out of his home if he had to,” the Post reported of that Friday’s events. “She allegedly agreed to go.”
“Michael McCoy stated that it was like she finally understood that it was over,” police said in the affidavit.
McCoy then went to bed around 11:00 p.m. with the understanding that McKnight realized that the pair were broken up.
Sometime later that night, he woke up with a “massive head pain” and could not see.
While he screamed in pain, McKnight reportedly came into the bedroom and asked, “Mike, what did you do to yourself?”
The judge called 911 shortly before 1:00 a.m. reporting McCoy’s injuries, but police said she “could not explain what happened and stated that she was sleeping and heard him screaming.”
A gunshot wound to McCoy’s right temple that had exited his left temple was found after first responders rushed him to the hospital.
The bullet left him blind in his right eye.
The affidavit also stated that a gun registered to McKnight was discovered at the scene, and her hands were positive for gunshot residue.
McCoy also asserted multiple times that he had not shot himself.
The ex-lovers both said that no one else was home at the time of the incident.
While McKnight claimed to police that she did not leave the house that night, this was disputed with footage from a neighbor’s security camera showing the judge leaving the home at some point.
According to McCoy, his ex-girlfriend may have followed him to the tavern before he returned.
McKnight has since been suspended from her judiciary duties and is being held at the Dauphin County Prison with a $300,000 bail.
To avoid a prosecutorial conflict of interest, the case will be heard in the neighboring county of Cumberland.
In August 2019, McKnight was cleared of criminal intent in the shooting of her estranged husband, Enoch McKnight, reported PennLive.
Following a long series of domestic disputes, police calls, and protection orders, the judge shot her husband in the groin while he was helping her move furniture at her home.
Upon reviewing the case, the attorney general’s office declined to file criminal charges, citing self-defense.
“We can confirm the investigation is closed, and no charges have been filed,” said Jacklin Rhoads, an office spokeswoman.
“The Office of Attorney General completed a careful review of the evidence in this case, including but not limited to interviewing all witnesses, analyzing phone data and records, reviewing crime scene evidence as well as surveillance and reenactment videos,” she added.
“We found that Ms. McKnight acted in self-defense, which is why our office did not file charges.”
Mcknight faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted of her new first-degree attempted murder charge, according to the New York Post.
