What vacuum sealer do you use?

I bought a few Prime Ribs while they were on sale for Christmas with the intent of vacuum sealing and freezing them (well, all but one). I borrowed a FoodSaver V2440 from my sister and bought the expandable bags, but holy shit was this a frustrating experience. The machine would constantly fail to pull enough vacuum to empty the bag of oxygen and then seal. Sometimes the bag seemed empty but it refused to seal.

One prime rib I sealed I just took out of the fridge and it had a pocket of air in it. The meat has a faint sour odor but feels fine (not slimey) and doesn't otherwise seem obviously bad. I'm going to freeze it for use anyway and I just won't serve it to guests. But, I'm pissed off and frustrated by the entire experience with the FoodSaver's reluctance to do its job.

I know there has to be vacuum sealer users here. What do you guys use? Anyone have experience with VacMaster? Should I give FoodSaver another shot with a new machine?

Sasquatch kills Two

Well, not really. But they were looking for Sasquatch and probably died of exposure for being terminally fucking stupid!

So in a way… Sasquatch killed them.

Stupid is going out in big Washington woods in December without being prepared. It’s even stupider when you are trying to find a mythical ape man.

SOLD Promethius II Powder Thrower – Precision, Power, and Priceless Quirkiness

Are you tired of your powder thrower being "just okay"? Want to upgrade to something so accurate it makes your OCD feel underappreciated? Look no further, because I’m parting ways with my Promethius II, the Ferrari of powder throwers. Yes, it’s $5000, but you’re not just buying a tool—you’re buying a lifestyle.

Why is it $5000? Well, it doesn’t just throw powder; it elegantly deposits it with the precision of a brain surgeon and the grace of a swan. This beauty doesn't measure grains—it communes with them on a molecular level, ensuring each load is so perfect it might bring a tear to your eye.

Features include:

  • Accuracy so good, your chronograph will faint.
  • Adjustments so fine, they make Rolex jealous.
  • A sleek design that screams, “I take reloading way too seriously.”
  • A magical ability to outclass every other powder thrower at your local range.
Why am I selling? Well, I’ve decided to fund my other hobbies—like racing or trying to convince myself that a $5000 reloading gadget wasn’t a phase. My loss is your gain.

Price is firm because, let’s be real, you’re not just buying a powder thrower; you’re buying perfection. Message me before I change my mind and decide to keep it for bragging rights alone.

Man shot with own gun during traffic stop

I didn't see this posted, hope its not a duplicate

You can't make this stuff up.

I am sure the officers were only concerned for their own safety, because you know...

Glad I live in a state where you are not required to say you have a weapon on you, but I also know when the police run your drivers license number you are flagged as a CCW holder, so they know.
