Early Not M40 Smear Find

Definitely not M40, but this looks like an early HTG ADL Smear. I have no immediate build in mind, so it will get shelved for now. I can sell off the 40X BA and Zeiss scope to recover some of my outlay. I have no interest in BR rifles or 6MM PPC. I don’t think I’ll ever know when this was built, but clearly the early 40X had a previous life.

It’s being shipped to my FFL. Once I have it in hand, I’ll separate the action from the stock. Hopefully, it’s not glued tight. My only real concern is if the bolt handle cutout will fit a 700 swept handle without too much work. Gun store guy thought it was a poorly done homemade camo job.

Wife of prominent trans author hacks father to death with ice axe in breakdown over Trump win

We already knew they were nuts.

Another RINO self-serving POS who should be exorcised from politics...

Fuck you Nikki... You were Never Trumper until you thought he could win... and then kissed his ass right through victory...

Now are upset that he is not giving your RINO ass some kind of big position in the administration?

Kiss all our asses you POS RINO. You flip-flopped more than some hippies in birkenstocks... and expect to be take seriously?

Fuck you bitch. Stay out in the cold and be lucky you aren't gonna get prosecuted for complicity in destroying America.

Pre fit barrels question

I’ve been on this site since ‘09 iirc. Shooting since too long ago.

Lot of changes taking place. One that I notice is pre fit barrels. Seems no action is acceptable unless it accepts pre fits.
Has anyone compared accuracy of pre fits vs top notch custom work?
Are they equal or just “good enough”?
Would Tony Boyer compete with a pre fit or would @Terry Cross build a rifle that way? Would @Frank Green prefer a custom barreled rifle to one built as a pre fit?

Not looking for one off one group antidotes but real scientific testing.

Great back story from Yellowstone scene

I know, I know..
But this is a cool story about a custom spur maker that was in a recent scene and died before it aired.

Shipping ammo may get tougher

Didnt know where else to put this but Ishipped out a bit of Ammo yesterday at UPS. They have a big sign up saying that "effective 17 November" the regional office will be closing. I asked the guy behind the desk about that (since you have to take the ammo to the regional location and not just a UPS store) and he told me that a lot of them are closing. I dont know if thats just in this area (SW Oklahoma) but if its nationwide, thats going to pretty much screw up all private ammo sales/shipping.

Anyone else able to add to this?

If there's a better place for it mods, please move.

Game Changer Bag Fill, the SpexLite Advantage

Introduction

IMG_4184-2.heic

Shooting bags have become increasingly popular across shooting disciplines, not only in those where they have traditionally been used as support for rifle on various positions, but also in areas where they were once less common. This growth in use reflects broader changes in the disciplines, where adjustments in rifle weight and support equipment are being made to improve hit percentage on smaller and smaller targets under decreasing par times each year. As these equipment adjustments evolve, so do the preferences and applications. Now that options are coming out for various fill and bag weights I wanted to get in and take a look at how changing the bag fill affected my shooting with various rifles. To accomplish this...

SOLD ARC Coup De Grace Long Action .540

I’m probably going to regret this. It’s so nice but I just don’t see the need right now for a long action in my area.
If you want black bolt knob and hanger I can swap it.

I’ve got a couple mags too. $70 each

$945 shipped

Help me with build options (338 LM)

Hello Hide,

I want to do a new build - 338 LM.

I already have the barrel blank - bartlein 5R steel 32 inch blank in 338

I’m asking for help because the barrel shank is 1.35 inch and tapers down to an inch. What action options do I have because of that?

I’m new to builds like this but it looks like some actions need 1.25 and some need 1.35…?? I’m out of my lane on trying to understand these things, but is there any reason why my 1.35 inch diameter barrel can’t fit an ARC CDG or impact? I was also thinking about a defiance action too.

Thank you
