1. Proof Research 20” stainless steel 6mm ARC barrel: $375. Includes a new but unpictured rifle +1 length gas tube. This was fully assembled and qualified with 20 rounds of Hornady Black so it shows evidence of handling, etc. and shot perfectly suppressed and unsuppressed.
2. JP 6.5 Grendel/6mm ARC EnhancedBolt carrier completion kit: $135. Bolt is unfired and is assembled with standard gas rings. Included JP’s one piece gas ring, JP titanium firing pin, JP enhanced cam pin (fired 20rds), and cotter pin.
3. Rexus Ultrabolt Mk136 6.5 Grendel/6mm ARC: $65. Fired 20rds.
4. 2x duramag 10rd: $10ea plus ship
5. 5x 3x 1x Duramag 20rd: $15ea plus ship

I was gifted this Norinco .45 . As far as I can tell it hasn’t been shot much, if any ??
I swapped the handles for some rubbery ones , that’s all I’ve done. I don’t expect it to shoot like my 70 series Gold Cup of course , just wondering about how reliable it might be ?

What’s the least I could do to make it that way ? Not planning on making it a platform for many improvements , but don’t want to pack anything that will stove pipe every other round I know it’s from China , but I couldn’t beat the price. $0.00

How difficult is it to acquire parts for KAC rifles?

Considering an LRP or SR25 for my next build, but nobody around me owns a KAC. I've read a few comments that parts are hard to get for them, but that was years ago.

Would a mil spec like Seekins DMR suit me better over an LRP I can't get parts for? Open to suggestions.

Are the KAC guns that much better given the price difference? Almost double.

Cost isn't the issue, ability to keep the gun running is.

I ordered a foundation samson stock, american rifle cdg, and pva barrel all mid june, literally just got emails about the stock and barrel today so I called ARC, got to speak to Bella and apparently my action just got assembled too!

just ordered a barrel blank a few days ago for a separate project, have high hopes for that too!

When they're in stock, it looks like Stuteville Precision has Bartlein prefits for $750. Bartlein and Stuteville both seem to have amazing reputations.

If Proof offers a barrel in a caliber that I want to shoot, $500-525 seems like a good buy.

Anything else at or below $750 that I should look at?

Do the same rules of rate of fire apply for semi-auto precision rifles as bolt guns?

I would hate to damage a precision semi using it like a standard AR.

SO, I was cleaning out my garage and I realized that I had amassed a ton of mainly AR parts. I am not sure who bought this stuff or why, but, never the less; here is this bin full of good ideas and “must have’s” sits; besides being a great reflective exercise in priorities my question is, “What spare parts are essential?” I am thinking in terms of the AR platform, my bolt gun is an AI, so if that breaks-down I will need to take a second mortgage to fix it.

Yes, another LPVO thread. It's just that I'm kind of overwhelmed with the possible choices.

Intended use - recently purchased a Noveske Afghan upper with a 14.5" stainless upper. I already have a couple of SBR's with red dots and a 18" CLE upper with a 24x scope that's dedicated to long range shooting. This rifle would be my do it all option. So offhand shooting at 15-50 yards, but also would take it out to 4-500 yards. I have access to a 600 yard range, and will probably end up doing about 75% of my shooting with this rifle at 200+ yards and beyond.

I have an absolute max budget of $1,500 and if I can keep it under $1,000 that would be great. Obviously, the scope needs to be reasonably rugged, and have really solid glass. Weight is a concern, so if I can keep it light that would be a plus. And it has to have a reticle that works for both in close shooting and long distance shooting. Finally, I can live with 1-6x but 1-8x would be better. Don't really want to go up to 1-10x, since I don't think I really need it and understand those scopes can be problematic.

The problem is that there are a ton of choices that look like they would work. Primary Arms has a 1-8x for $1,500 that is really interesting and is probably my current top choice. It's relatively light and has a great reticle. Of course the Vortex Razor 1-6x is a solid option. Great glass, great warranty but getting another 2x would be nice. I have a Trijicon Credo in higher magnification, that I like, so their 1-8x is interesting to me. Steiner has a 1-6x option that looks it would work. Eotech has something in my price range, and I'm a big fan of their holographic sight, but don't know anything about their other scopes. And finally, there's the Nightforce NXS, but I think even on sale that's going to end up over my max budget and the ATACR is way over my budget.

So I guess I'm just interested in other shooters' thoughts and experiences with the above scopes, or something I maybe have left out.

As pictured, the chassis is in excellent condition; only mounted on a rifle that never left the safe.
