SOLD USMC Premier Heritage 3-15x50 M8541a

Salty Premier Heritage M8541a 3-15x50. This is an issued scope, and shows it.

Glass is in great condition and visually sharp. It has several spots on the inside of the ocular and objective lenses. I doubt it’s sealed/purged anymore, but have no way to confirm.

The Windage knob wobbles where the shoulder of the turret is no longer up against the housing of the scope. Still clicks nice and sharp just like it should, but wobbles back and forth at the base maybe 0.5mm.

Overall, this is a cool scope, but has been well used a beat on. It’s priced to account for that, but still looks sharp and beats the clarity of my S&B 3-12 any day.

Advice on my first Custom build

Hi Everyone.

I'm still very green in long range. I've mostly been around standard Rifles, shotguns and Handguns only. I'm always liked bolt action but the timing wa never right to be able to get into it either from where i lived, price or other life priorities.

After my initial researchwhich turned into weeks upon weeks going down a rabbit hole of just biting a bullet to buy once cry once and build a really nice long range bolt action.
I have a range near me which had been growing that has 25 - 500 yards (open to public) and two 1000 yards for qualified members only. Looking to get some feedback or personal opinions about my current planned build, and if anyone would give recommendations, etc.

Action: Lone Peak Arms Fuzion .308; bolt face (this is the only item i have already purchased).

Chassis: Vision Pro
- I'm looking to get the foldable stock adapter hinge. Would this really affect how the rifle may shoot?

Magazines: Leaning towards AW (action and chassis can accept this or AICS). I like the low profile idea and how the magazine of an AW may not hit a bag since the stop is close on this chassis.

Trigger: TT Diamond 2 stage. Flat

Muzzlebreak: Spearhead 5 Port

Scope: either
- Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 MIL
-LRP S3 425-50
-NF NX8 4-32x50 F1
I like first plane and mil over moa.

Barrel: Proof Barrels prefit in .308. I was originally thinking to do 6.5cm for more range but the barrel life is feel is so short in comparison and the .308 will last a long time and if I hunt would pack a better punch less 600yards from what I gather.

I'm very open to barrels as this has been the most difficult to research for me. It's endless information. Looking to go for a 24" in length but Prefits seem to come 26"? Is it easy to swap a barrel in the garage for a prefit rather than go to a gunsmith? Any advice I'll appreciate.

I should mention I'm not in a rush but If I can get anything sooner than later with holiday special deals I will.

Thank you to all in advance!

Centurion cmr vs geissele mk 14/16

Putting together a rifle and I’m torn between hand guards. It’s a 16” barrel shot suppressed, lpvo gun I’ll use to shoot local 2 gun matches and take carbine classes with. I’d like a 15” mlok handguard. I really like the looks of the centurion cmr, but not sure how durable they are. The others would be the geissele mk 14, or slightly larger mk16, which I’m sure are plenty durable, I just don’t like as much. Iv never held any of them. Anyone have an opinion? Other similar handguards they’d recommend?

Why are we not talking about the devastation in Western NC, TN, and other places?

Western NC, TN and many other places have been thrown back to the stone age from this storm. The Chimney Rock / Lake Lure area has been pretty much wiped out. (My wife and I really love that area) Parts of I-40 and I-26 have been washed away. Some of the areas that have been impacted will never recover.

Haven't heard a peep from Biden or Harris they are probably too busy putting together another package for Ukraine and Israel.

It's a fucking shame when disasters happen anywhere else our politicians are ready to send billions of US dollars the next day, but shit happens here they have to pass a relief package and vote on it!

SOLD Bergara B14R Heavy Barreled Action + Extras

Bergara B14R BA with 20" stainless steel heavy profile 1:16tw barrel, (2) factory mags, (1) two-round extension from A&J Sporting, Anarchy Outdoors scope rail (20 MOA) and bolt handle with "big bertha" bolt knob. Also includes original Bergara bolt handle, trigger (0 rounds), and pins.

I purchased this new when the heavy barrel was first released last winter, and put no more than 300 rounds thru it. Shot sub-MOA with SK Rifle Match and Norma Tac22, and balances great in my G1 (short) APAC, and XLR Envy. Definitely an upgrade from the original B14R, only selling because once again I have too many rifles in the safe.

I removed the Bergara trigger when it was brand new to install a TT, so this one has zero rounds on it. I did not reinstall the trigger just in case you want to run your own aftermarket deal.

NOTE: Barrel length updated/corrected; heavy barrel is 20", see added photos

Where are all the CZ 457 MTR's ???

Just curious what is going on with CZ and why the CZ 457 MTR variants are made of Unobtanium? Outside of GunBroker or the occasional rifle on a classifieds somewhere priced for more than retail these things are exceedingly tough to find. I am the type that really likes to see something in person before handing over my hard earned money for it but that seems like a non-starter if you are looking for any CZ 457 in an MTR variety. Supply chain issues or what ???

This may lead to an interesting discussion- who have you given access to for your house?

I haven't seen this discussed here (at least not recently) but might make for a good discussion. I'm sure the vast majority of us consider our homes our own personal castles. But we may have a trusted inner-circle in which we gave access to our homes, whether through physical keys or digital access. I'm not personally concerned with the details myself of which type of access you may have provided but more so curious as to the "who" portion that you gave access to of your home.

As for me- the only one that could potentially come and go into our house is my sister-in-law. As for the why- well both my wife and I have a higher than most threshold of trust required in order to give the literal/figurative keys of our new house to anyone and she's the only one that checked our boxes. It may be unusual to some here- but we have not (and agreed to this jointly) given any keys/or other access to our parents and don't intend to change that decision, at least not in the near future.

It's not that we even distrust either of our parents but this is our... refuge I'll say, and it's comforting to my wife & I to know that the vast majority of our inner circle cannot come in without our direct involvement. Neighbors(?), hah- if we live here 20+ years and never know their names, I'd be ok with that because I'd rather we keep to ourselves and do our own thing.

That said- does anyone else feel the same way, have similar approaches or have a completely different outlook on this topic?
