Only semi true. Quantity of air moved does equal performance, but air “Blast” can move in multiple directions to achieve the same result. Not physically possible. More performance equals more blast. So what is it? Does it have more performance and more blast or less blast and less performance?
I have no problem addressing it, but I am about to kick off a livestream where it will likely come up.As always, thanks opining and offering your insight into the scope world that most of us do not know/see.
Do you have any opinion on the proliferation of companies sourcing LOW scopes, versus just 4-5 years ago? How do you feel about it? More competition drives down prices... Macro 101 and all... but it seems fishy to me... their must either be huge margins or a lot of companies trying to pick up pennies in front of a steamroller.
If you would prefer not to address this, I understand as well.
Emailing you now SirI sent an email out to everyone on the list Archimedes compiled. If you’re interested shoot me a message. [email protected]
Not a CZ 457 or 455. They have easy to swap out barrels. You can convert to .22lr, .22WMR, .17M2, or 17HMR with just a corresponding barrel and magazine if going to the magnums from standard.Whatever I choose it will have to work with the factory barrel
Interesting, when I went to sniper school in 2009, everything was based on the FM23-7. I don't think that's current information.I think generally speaking you’re probably correct in this. I will say this, hathcock didn’t write a book. Someone else did and I’m sure it was with interviews with him. Hathcock and EJ Land DID write the book in scout snipers and it really set the standard for a lot of how things are done in the bush. Now there is some new cat named chuck mawhinny and he’s claiming that he’s the real sniper and everyone else is a fraud.
God I loathed that asshat McPeak
I remember seeing his quote framed and hanging in maintenance shops, aerial ports, etc. all over the world. And was told there’s an engraved plaque of it hanging in every missile solo too.
Paraphrasing from memory:
“The Air Force is not necessarily a career opportunity for non-Fighter Pilots; or God forbid, those who don’t have wings at all”
Kids raised in luxury almost never have a work ethic. There are notable exceptions. Not many people work as hard as DJT, but how many times have we seen a company make it through Grandpa and dad, and they have an excellent company, plenty of innovation, but the third generation never struggled and they tank the company? I hope I'm wrong, but that's what I'm afraid is happening at Weatherby right now. No actual innovation in decades. The best things they've ever done happened in the 40's-60's. The only thing they've done in modern history is rebrand a few existing wildcats that nobody uses, create a mediocre 700 footprint action that nobody wants, and most recently, revive a dead varmint cartridge that nobody wants, and is only available in an expensive tree corpse format. I love weatherby, but I'm afraid they are circling the drain.Yeah and that quad sized douche didn’t work for any of his wealth either; it was handed to him. It’s funny how rich people who got rich by their own hard work are often decent people, but their kids and grandkids go down the toilet after inheriting their wealth. He would be another complete failure if he was elected president.
