Dillon 650 Setup Confirmation/Advice

Just a consideration….I finally sent a few buckets of crimped mil brass out to be cleaned and swaged. It was not much but just made everything simpler…and while I have the swage it, took it off and just run the processed brass. (550 and 650).

Life is much better. Coin vs time/parts/frustration…your call.

All the rest of your plan sounds solid.

Thanks man, I’m cleaning some brass now and waiting on the last package. Should be here tomorrow.

Who did you use to process your brass?

Parker Hale T4

They should be very good shooters until approx 600 Yards. In tons, which proof has it ?

The Parker Hale 7.62mm hammer forged barrels are considered by our local NZNRA shooters, to be good out to 800 yards. Glass bedding of the receiver to fore-end interface—where allowed—has proven greatly beneficial, according to my friend Duncan MacKee, husband of government minister, the Honourable Nicole McKee, also a good friend of mine. N.B. Original No. 4 fore-ends will all be over seventy (70) years old by now. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿l

Dillon 650 Setup Confirmation/Advice

I have not ran into any, for blasting ammo with 556.

Prep toolhead
Universal decap
Dillon trimmer/dillon die

Load toolhead
Mandrel/neck expander
powder drop
empty/verify powder/or powder check device
seat
crimp
Do you run lubed cases during your loading die process. I was reading most will mandrel after trim/size then run cases dry when loading.

New Berger 375 bullet 410 hybrid

The humidity that counts is the powder humidity and I measured it in the new canister at 52% relative humidity and a temperature of 65° prior to loading these rounds.

I have done previous extensive testing and found that water does not escape a loaded case in any appreciable amount, despite one year of widely fluctuating temperatures.

So my presumption always is that the relative humidity of the powder or better said it’s water content remains what it originally was as long as the primer is seated tightly, and the bullet is sealed in the neck. I use imperial wax to seat and seal my bullets in the neck

Rifle Competition Events NRL Hunter Dust Devil Dual AAR

OP, thanks for the good AAR on the match. I'm spooling up to go to the Hunter's Coalition match in Clovis, NM in late June. Question for you or any NRL Hunter experts: Can you use an OBI attachment with a tripod in an extended configuration? The tripod I have is a RRS TFCT-34 with three extendable sections. I'm assuming it would be against the rules to walk up to a stage with its legs extended hanging on an OBI attachment? I know a lot of guys game things a bit by using long legged tripods pretty much ready to roll on an OBI.

I need a 18” 5.56 barrel for a new build. I would prefer to have a cut rifle barrel but I am willing to consider something buttoned. What’s the consensus when it comes to accuracy?

Mushroom clouds in the morning will change things somewhat.

again,a tough one. there was a report showing that the Iranians were not working on a nuc weapon. it came out after Gabbard was on board as head of DNI. frustrating like everything else. we get contrasting work on just about everything. and that is just from the "conservative" side of the news i never look at MSM, the very obvious lies are just too too infuriating.

XM7 worries from the field.

1.4 million conscripts don't concern me unless they are on the way to America, which will never happen.

Nobody is coming to kill us. This scare tactic bullshit is why we've been sucked into every single war we've wasted American lives on since WW1. If there isn't a standing threat, we create a paper tiger so we can keep funneling money into the MIC. Don't drink the kool aid.
You're absolutely right.

They're not coming here, and we're not going to fight them within the borders of China.

The United States is bound by six formal Indo-Pacific treaties with: Korea; Japan; Thailand; the Philippines; Australia; and the UK and Australia (AUKUS).

We've told the world there is only one China.

If they attack Taiwan and don't bomb an American facility or attack US forces we have absolutely NO reason to stop them. China holds a seat on the UN Security Council with Russia and they can cancel a war vote.

Mao killed more Chinese than Stalin killed Russians. Why does the US think they need to isolate and contain the Chinese?

On the other hand, if you live there everyone else in the Indo-Pacom is wondering what it would be like with a China-dominant western Pacific and southeast Asia.
