When I see things like this, I'm certain we need another civil war. It's beyond time to eliminate these folks.

I have no doubt that “we” have said things just as morally repugnant about “them…”

For instance, there was a ton of horrific and cruel posts directed at the parents of the Sandy Hook parents.

Should be easy to pull up more examples in a search.

It’s not like “we” have come forth virtuous, with clean hands.

This is America.
So it's ok then?

I've, maybe not so oddly disagreed with every comment I've ever seen you make. You're a liberal trying to pass yourself off as something else. It's pretty obvious.

Do I need match ammo at 100 yards? Or is it a waste of money?

I’m in partial disagreement here from most opinions.

Depending on caliber, brand of ammo and rifle there is a ton of cheap ammo that will shoot very well out at 100 yards and in. I used to have a Ruger Mark II hunting rifle in .243 that shot sub half moa with most ammo I fed it. Cheap soft point hunting ammo seemed to shoot just as great as match. So if your not shooting past 100 try some of the cheaper stuff and see but buy a few boxes of different match ammo to compare.

I’ve seen plenty of match ammo that doesn’t shoot well in a specific gun but great in others. You gotta feed what your rifle likes. My 6creed shoots Hornady 108 Eld Match into super tiny little holes while it hates some other brands. So if your trying match buy a few different types to see what your gun likes. Just get a box of 20 of each brand/ bullet weight and see how you and the rifle shoot it.

On the other side of the coin, I’ve never seen cheap/ non match .556 shoot CONSISTENTLY worth a damn. Even cheap match options in .556/.223 seems to have more issues than I like.

With a rifle like a .556 or .308 that have long barrel life, I like to buy cheaper ammo for practicing positional shooting under about 200 yards. If I know my rifle shoots 1/2moa prone with match ammo or hand loads, but the cheap stuff shoots 1.5 or 2moa consistently, I’ll shoot the cheap stuff positional and use targets that are .5 moa or so larger than the cheap ammo groups from prone. This makes for great practice that doesn’t break the bank.

PRS Talk PRS Match participation taking a hit in 2025?

Based on what I've heard, I don't think the way things went down was good. Neither the RO's behavior, the way the folks in the squad reacted to it, or the way Paul chose to handle things. All bad.

The point I'm trying to make is that it's also 100% on brand for one of Paul's ROs to be rude and to used profanity when talking to a shooter (though I've never heard of one putting hands on a shooter mid-stage before), and also for Paul to back up the RO's behavior.

But yeah, this is the first time I've heard of an entire squad of guys taking offense and starting an argument over it, then leaving without finishing the match. Most of the folks I know who don't like how things run at Frontline just spend their money elsewhere.

Never had an RO there be rude to me there and been shooting matches there since 2018. We went to that stage next after the incident and the RO was fine. I heard what happened and the shooter did not respond to the RO. You always have to listen to the RO as that is a safety issue. You might not know why he is telling to to get off the rifle but it doesn’t matter. You do it. Period. And you sure as hell don’t almost get into a fist fight about it.

And spending your money where you want is part of our freedoms and I get it. I have nothing to say about that as I do it too. I shoot where I like.

Read the book “The Pope and Mussolini.” Christianity may not have drove Nazism, but they were riding in the same car…

Well, look into the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. The Muslims gave Hitler 5 Brigades. I think the only conclusion anyone can draw is that basically everyone in that region despised the joos.

Accuracy International AT-X

Agreed, over the several AIs I have owned the accuracy has always been premium (both UK Border barrels & US Tooley / Bart barres), but to me what sets AI rifles apart is the consistency and lack of trouble. I have owned 5 or 6 and never had one issue, even with some fuckery of debonding and going the MPA / 6mmBR route on one…
I agree with this. AI is the easy button. It will give no BS trouble-free top tier performance for a very long time. Maybe I've been lucky, but with modest load development, my 3 AI barrels all shoot several bullets in the .3's consistently. Shoot the barrel out, give Euro or MH $1,000 and screw new barrel on in 60 seconds. That is huge to me because I live in the middle of nowhere. I also like the AT-X chassis better than any other that I've handled.

Tikka T3 Thread

It looks like we are finally seeing some over-the-barrel cans made and available in the US. Don’t know why it took so long but glad to see it. Now to figure out which one to get for a hunting rifle. The B.O.B. from savage is one but it’s a bit heavy and haven’t seen reviews yet.
