10/22 Scope Questions

OK, long term long range shooter, here (500m) with several custom rifles. Moved to Alabama and retired, and the only reasonable long range is Talledega (and that's still expensive), but, did I mention I retired? Local club only goes to 200, so I thought it was time to breakout the rimfires. I do have a 10/22 with the hammer forged barrel, in a Magnum Research stock. I have a plethora of various scopes I've accumulated. I'm trying to decide between a Burris Signature 8-32 (sfp), or an Athlon 8-34 (ffp)- any suggestions for my poverty pony? Just to clarify, this for a long gong shoot at 300 yds
If it is just for 300 y gongs, pick the scope you like best. I prefer FFP because the subtensions are accurate at all magnifications. This could be important if you are holding for wind…

On the power increase, any more and you start stressing many other components. Keep it about there, to level up requires a lot mo $ to stay reliable. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah I am satisfied here. I am going to change the trans fluid, adjust the bands and cross my fingers. I really baby it and always try to get max MPG anyway.

A new bulletproof trans maybe in the future if necessary but $5-6k 😩

Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

We just moved in to our new house (new build) in Florida in April. Our next door neighbors moved in a few weeks later. They're British. Yesterday They saw me measuring my Rav4 (we bought a 4' x 5'8" picture earlier and couldn't fit in my SIL's SUV) and immediately offered up their truck to go get it. It was raining so they had us come over for beer and wine while we waited for it to clear up. It never did and we ended up inside their house getting acquainted. Good news! They're not flaming liberals and embrace the American way of life. Gun owners as well and me and him are supposed to go shooting soon. I also asked him if the immigration in England is as bad as I see on the "news". He stated that it was and thought there'd be a revolution soon over it.
I listened to Shawn Ryan’s interview with Jay Cal yesterday. British SAS, that loves the United States. He pointed to the U.S. flag and said "I love that flag. And I would die for that flag, same as I would my own."
