Ha! Still butt hurt from last week.
Right, so by posting about how much you hate cops on the internet you have completely fixed the problem.Ms 14 fuck and kill lots of mothers that’s why those of us capsule thought loath and hate them, and those who have refused to do anything about them .
Thanks for playing . It’s been fun your moneys on the dresser.
The Leicas use angle in the ballistic solution. Can't speak for the rest, but it would be stupid for them not to include that in the math.Hi I asked this in another thread on the vector x, I’ve also emailed saphron/vectronix with no response. I’m going to hopefully go out and verify this for myself today or tomorrow but does anyone know if any of these bino’s that utilize AB are giving corrected firing solutions? I know to see the angle corrected distance on the vector x, the ballistics needs to be off. I have no idea if the firing solution is LOS or corrected distance. Also I’m interested in knowing if they are connected to the kestrel would that give a corrected solution or if the inclination needs to be entered manually
My Athlon Velocity Pro arrived on Friday and I had opportunity to take it out to an ELR class Manners hosted. I took my LabRadar LX (which I haven't used much since Oct when I got it), and my Garmin, which I've used a bunch for the last year and a half as my primary chrono.
Athlon had put another Velocity Pro on a "prize table" for the students of the class, and the guy who won it in the drawing let me put it side by side with my unit, as well as another shooter's Garmin, so we had 5 chrony's lined up for a few shooters (at least when one of the Garmins wasn't knocked over by brake blast).

The two Athlons measured within 1-2fps of each other for each shot. The two Garmins measured within 1fps of each other for each shot. The LabRadar LX was ~3-4fps slower than the Garmin regularly, which is well within the specified precision of these units.
The two Athlons, however, read ~20fps faster than the other 3 units. Shooting out to 1860yrds during this class, naturally we were able to decipher which speeds were correct.
I spoke with Athlon yesterday about this, and they mentioned that a hard reset of the unit should correct the firmware and bring that back in line with the other units. So I'm going out hopefully on Thursday to shoot again before resetting, along side the Garmin and LabRadar again, then do the hard reset and see if 1) the offset remains before the reset as I saw it on Saturday and Sunday, and then 2) the offset returns after the hard reset. I WILL report back to see if this reset does correct the offset.
Something kind of neat - I've had opportunities like this where I have carried my Garmin like a GoPro and walked behind prone shooters on a firing line - standing behind their feet, WAY behind the specified placement recommendation - and I have been able to pick up shots without fail. I tried this with the Athlon this weekend as well, and sure enough, it picked up the shots from standing behind the shooters also (with the same ~20fps offset).

Well, nonetheless, for running with a FRT, chromelined beats stainless. Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if a chrome-lined barrel outlasted two or three stainless barrels.I've already got chrome lined 12.5" and 13.9" barrels but neither are heavy enough for what I'd like (the 12.5" is the heavier of the 2). I figured for $90 I could buy 2 barrels and still be ahead of a quality chrome lined barrel. Another option is a KAK HBAR 16" but I'd have to thread it and it's $150 I think
This is exactly what I was going to say - ES of 23 but no mention of how many rounds (probably 3).Hornady talking to the public: "You need to shoot 30rd sample sizes"
Hornady QC'ing their production ammo: "Five rounds is enough"
Sachs position is an odd one. he credits himself with helping Russia set up it's economy after USSR's collapse. Engdahl in his book "manifest destiny" IDs him as one of the Harvard group that destroyed the Russian economy at that time and set up the looting of Russia's resources by oligarchs that Putin ultimately removed. there are our contained neocons on here who call him almost a Russian asset. saying that covid sprang up here at UNC is not the 1st exposure of the gain of function work well known to have been done there. there is no doubt that people here were complicit. Sachs is a bit suspect to me in a way as he does a lot of vids but spends a lot of time blowing his own horn.
